Before even TRYING to outline how the actual problem started, I will just say that it turns out that when my return was checked in (by warehouse or whoever)

what they did was to scan the outside return label and

did not check the contents inside.

So, SOMETHING in my orders was returned but credited to the wrong order.

Now I have a pair of KG jeans that are showing up as being returned but not so b/c they are still right here with me!

CS was so nice yesterday, but the only thing that she could tell me was for me to figure out which pair had been returned then let them know. (?)

So my advice:

1. only send back 1 item per bag/box

2. if using a sticky type return label...somehow denote on the outside to the warehouse that the outside "scanner details on the label" do not match up to the items being returned inside.

I hope my post is clear?

The information I got originally from CS when I contacted them in early July was this:

"yes you can send more than one item in a package

"just make sure and write on the outside

       MORE THAN ONE ITEM INSIDE

I did what they specified on EACH PACKAGE I WAS RETURNING!
However, it seems as though following their instructions will not result in the proper items being credited back to me.

This puts a "wrench" in the way I "organize" my returns.

May I add here that I have had other sellers (Amazon/Loft) not credit my account properly if I buy say two sizes of the same item.

@LTT1 I learned my lesson the hard way too! Today, not only do I put each individual item into its own bag with the correct return label ( the labels attached to the invoices have their own tracking numbers so the Q knows what's in the bag), I also take a picture of the label with a small note ( for me) so I know what is in the bag.

For example, I just realized that I never got a return credit for a pair of pants that I returned early last month.  I was able to find the picture on my phone along with my note to what was in the bag and I emailed QVC with the tracking number.

I had a few snafus like OP too--not just from QVC but Amz and Macys and HSN. Now I have a return log-- that is a notebook --with most of what you suggested written in columns, that I write all that info in. I include the shipping info too--those people are notorious for screwing things up-- I do take pics too and even chat live with CS telling them I am sending it back and for them to put a note on my account----one of the major reasons I don't order much here anymore. Maddening!!!

I'm so sorry this happened!  This is a perfect example of why I have never returned items from different orders into one package.  Even though I hate the individual return label charges, I just don't want to take a chance.  Interesting tho, I emailed the social team a few months ago to clarify if returning items in the same box was acceptable, Melvin advised me it would be better to return each order individually.

I imagine the people in the warehouse do not take the time to read any notes. They are like robots scanning and how boring of a job is that! They probably process hundreds or thousands of returns every day and if distracted mistakes happen. Unfortunately, taking a picture on your phone is not really proof. The tracking number is the only real proof as anyone can take a picture and then not really return. Sad, but there are dishonest people out there who will try anything which ruins it for the honest people.I think the only 100% safe way is to return one item per bag with the correct return label which is for that item. I have returned multiple items in one bag successfully in the past, but once they did credit me an item I did not return because it was on the same invoice as something I did return. I wish they would not put multiple items on one invoice as it creates issues when only returning one item in the order.

@haddon9

I hope you get your return credited. Hopefully you can track the item in your order status where you will see the tracking number. If you buy a lot, I hope customer service is understanding and will not dismiss you.

@Catch71 @When I take a picture of the bag along with my note, I always get the tracking number in the photo. That helps if I have to give customer service the tracking number

I have always kept a little note book with my returns and write down or take pictures of the tracking#.  It has come in handy a few times.  I hope @haddon9 @LTT1 get their returns straightened out soon.
