I watched a Kirks Folly showed hosted by Monifa Days. I had never watched Monifa before. She's very good presenting items BUT not very good with a guest. She talked over Jenniefer Kirk several times. A customer called in wanting to talk to Jenniefer, but Monifa kept interrupting. Then Jenniefer was reading a poem & Monifa cut her off before she was done. Just an uncomfortable show.

 I think it all goes back to the training and expectations  at QVC of Hosts. They must get paid by how much they talk . Someone must think that talking  incessantly  encourages sales. To bad all this talking does not give us customers the details we want as far as exact dimensions and facts abt function.

Then that's not a good fit. Some of the new hosts talk too much. They're not seasoned enough to listen. I would have been frustrated watching that show.

I also watched the show. While I do understand that Monifa is relatively new, she did not seem properly prepared to present this line. Someone, please, help her with pronunciation of Aurora Borealis. Jenniefer Kirk was very patient with her.

@FlyersGirl

Jenniefer is always so patient. It stinks that they always put her on at 2AM, but I understand that Kirks Folly is not as popular as it was years ago. What did you think about the "we're doing online maintenance right now...please call us if you want to place an order."

@FlyersGirl    Its very sad that hosts are so arrogant and ill-prepared that without a thought, they go onstage before an audience of thousands or millions without knowing how to pronounce key words.  Its obvious they don't even glance over the merchandise or its description.  They apparently don't even care.  I wish I could supervise these people.

I find her super boring, not a good fit for a QVC host. I wish her well but I don't see her lasting long.

@bobby5 Funny that you mentioned the "on line maintenance". I was just on the "we love qvc" facebook page and one of the posters was concerned about an order that she placed last night that did not show up in her order history and she did not receive an email confirmation. I am guessing that they really were messing with the website. She called CS and they could not find her order either.

Honestly, I am glad that she was advising people to call in rather than order on line if people were going to experience problems.

I also feel bad that Kirks Folly no longer gets prime air time. But, as you stated, it is not as popular as it was years ago.

I've only watched Monifa a few times when she was presenting clothing without a vendor.   She did a good job imo.

The last couple orders I placed (not just KF) did not show up in order history for several hours.

As for KF, ordered the bracelet that was aired. The last KF order I placed took close to a month to arrive, with two emails in between stating that the carrier was overloaded. The Q on air presentations for KF have unfortunately become quite boring, very few of the current hosts get what KF is about. I prefer to watch the KF YouTube videos before the show and then order when/if items show up online.
