We are evacuated from home because of fires

Informed today that all post offices in area closed until further notice  as fires out of control.  We have been told no-one know what is happening to parcels/mail.

I have 3 orders in transit to be delivered nowhere.  Do you know if they will automatically be returned to Q as nowhere can they be delivered.

Do not know who else to ask.  Thanks for any advice.

Hi @dulwich I am so sorry to hear you are in harms way. Those fires are scary. I'm not really sure what the postal service may do. You may want to contact them to see if they have a policy in place.

@dulwich    Why don't you contact one of your Congressmen and ask him/her to intercede?

@dulwich

I'm glad to see you posted...even if it's about a frustration with packages and the PO.

I agree with BOTH QVC Social ALICE  and @Kachina624

Please continue to be safe.

Ans yea - I'd get in touch with the Postal Service first then let your congressional rep know what the PO said and ask for additional help.

@MoonieBaby

Have you contacted your local Postmaster General for advice?

Good luck and stay safe.

@dulwich

I am sorry for your troubles. Generally speaking, the parcels should be returned to the Q. However, we do not want to inconvenience you at this time so please send us an email with the items you do not receive and we will refund you. Oh send that email to QVCSocialTeam@qvc.com.

@Beth-QVC  thank you Beth.  Contacted all the services just being told mail they will hold but totally inundated with parcels and cannot say what will happen to them at this time.  We will be notified where we can collect our mail next 5 days so then I can go and check re parcels too.

I think all depends on fire and if it can be contained next few days then maybe some services can be resumed.

If no go I will - in next few days -  e mail Q as you suggest but hope they may get a handle on parcel deliveries and fire!

Thanks for help if needed I will contact you with item #’s but I would like to try to get my items!

Hi @EatWell

My best friend Pam works in the Philly Bulk Mail Center, so I have not had any experiience where I had to get a Regional Manager or Postmaster involved in any issue.

@Beth-QVC     New plan.

I will e mail you details of items shipped as you suggest which will not be delivered - if you can issue merchandise credits to my a/c as I am going to re-order items and have them mailed to my granddaughters address which is out of the fire area.

Will this be o.k?
