Re: Millionaires AND The Frugal Tips

We have found a lot of good buys at Garage Sales.

If you buy a car new and have payments then after it is paid for maintain,maintain,maintain.

I had to buy a new car and maintained and when we got rid of the car it had 250,000 miles on it.

Use the Internet to check prices before a major purchase.

Don't be influenced by those that tell you you get what you pay for- sometimes not.

Read a lot about quality here on the Forum--what exactly is "quality"?

Many consider us canaries-cheap,cheap,cheap. Hope we can always be canaries.

If you have no means your religious leader may be able to help you.

@CalminHeart There are millionaires and there are millionaires. That is why I say read the book "The Millionaire next Door"

Also Dave Ramsey

Another thing we do is save change (keep track of it) and we use that money for other expenses.

Why would a multimillionaire have frugal tips?

This is a silly topic.

They have it to spend and beliieve me they do God bless them.

Lucky sperm club for the most of them.

All of the rest of us are mere "ants" working a 9  to 5 jobs most of our lives.

Enough said.

Because that's how they became millionaires--not by some very high paying job, or inheriting it but by life style choices.

It's not unusual or difficult to accumulate a million (or millions) in a retirement savings plan if you contribute the maximum,  start early, take advantage of the employer match and invest it wisely.

Not unusual at all.

You don't need inherited wealth.

You don't need to be a highly paid corporate executive.

You need to have a plan and the determination to follow it.

@Group 5 minus 1  - it's "The Millionaire Next Door" - not "Store".

There are millionaires who have accumulated wealth by living frugal lives.  They live in average homes and drive average cars.  They don't need expensive things.  They've worked hard and saved their earnings.

@Group 5 minus 1  - I've always wanted to, but never have.
