I don't usually buy milk but I noticed that the price of butter increased a lot here in the Philly area. Not just the fancy brands, but also the cheapest option of the generic store brand have gone up a lot.

We drink Fairlife milk as well. It is expensive. Usually $5 per half gallon at Walmart. More than that at regular grocery stores. When we first started buying it a few years ago (5-6?) it was only $3.25 per half gallon. Little did we know how the price would climb!

we only do Almond Milk, so i have no idea what reg. milk cost is here, SE PA.

i do know that egg prices are still high and 2 weeks ago, Costco had no eggs and no egg whites.

i can get eggs at reg. grocery stores but still well over $4 a dozen.

i have seen gas go up over the last week. our range for "regular' that i saw this week was:  $2.97 to $3.59 a gallon.  so needless to say i went with $2.97.  i don't even look at theprice for mid or premium grade.  or diesel.... but i feel it changes a least 2-3 times per week.  very unstable....

i really don't feel anything has gone down in price in our area....

I paid $3.49 for 1/2 gallon of the brand I like. Other brands ran $2.99-$3.99.

I looked at gallons. One of the premier brands here runs $3.99-$$4.99 for a gallon.

A gallon of whole, 2% or skim is still 4.75-5.00 here in Pittsburgh.  Gas is back up to near 3.60 or 3.70 for regular.  Eggs at least are available now. Many weeks the shelves were near empty.  Although eggs are still valued for the protein value, I still don't want to pay near $10 for a dozen of store brand eggs.  Chuck roast, not on sale was 29.00. Crazy.

Even on sale a chuck roast is pricey.  Costco was well stocked on eggs though.  $7.19 for two dozen.  That is still much more expensive than what I paid last year.

I don't buy milk so I haven't noticed.

Yeah, just weird lately Ct always seems higher than everywhere everyone seems to post about...and the milk seems obviously different (organic or not) judging from the few answers here so far. Weird.

I will say the non-organic milks were much lower ...I've just bought organic dairy as much as possible for years now, and it was up about $1.50-2.00 since just 2 wks ago.

I don't do organic with everything, but dairy, chicken and some produce, where I can, I do. Just a choice, not for everyone, I have friends who think "the organic thing is just a scam"...not how I feel, but to each their own.

Interesting, tks for responses everyone.

@amyb I agree, buy organic produce when you can.  Growing up farming, I think it's a good idea.  It's hard to find organic beef here, or much chicken.

Today, April 23, Wed. eggs and milk at Walmart are

$5.25/dzn. Eggland's Large White

$4.47 dzn. Walmart Large White

$5.73 dzn. ORGANIC Eggland's Large Brown

Milk 2% Organic half gallon :

$4.12 Great Value

$5.92 Organic Valley

$5.47 Horizon

I bought Skim milk the other day and the price was $2.89 a gallon.

Organic eggs were $6.99 for a dozen.

I drink Ripple Non Dairy and it’s still at $4.99.
