Ok...so supposedly eggs are down (though the type I usually buy, pasture raised, or at least organic when I can't get the PR) still about $8-9 a dozen...though in some stores can be as high as $11.99 a dozen. Organic still about 8-9.99 and regular about 5.99 in CT ...this was 3 of my regular grocery stores.

This week, my usual grocery, usual Organic milk I used to pay more for at about $4.99-5.50 a half gallon is now $7.50. God forbid you need lactose free, that is now $10 a 1/2 gallon! What the ...bleep?!

How's milk in your state? Just curious...are the cows in danger this week? Yeesh.

This is not a political thing for me here, so pls don't take it there to poof it...just wondering if its my usual high state of CT, which really hasn't come down, even on gas yet..(10 cents down since the election actually, haven't seen it change since then.)

I passed on milk! I still have cream for my coffee, and had wanted to try Oat Milk anyway, so this week that's what I got. I'll obviously buy milk again...curious what Fresh Market is...haven't been back there yet but two weeks ago got the same $7.50 1/2 gallon at the usual $5.49 then. (and FM is usually the higher place) So it's like in 2 wks there was a surge. Just curious.

In Chicago we pay under $3 for a gallon of fat free milk at our local supermarket and under $4 at Trader Joe's for a dozen eggs.  We don't buy "organic."

No price increase YET… 🥴

I bought Skim milk the other day and the price was $2.89 a gallon.

Organic eggs were $6.99 for a dozen.

I drink Ripple Non Dairy and it’s still at $4.99.

In PA, store brand whole milk is $4.84 per gal. and organic is $11.99 per gal. Our store brand milk prices are regulated, but I'm not sure about organic, etc.

Yeah, just weird lately Ct always seems higher than everywhere everyone seems to post about...and the milk seems obviously different (organic or not) judging from the few answers here so far. Weird.

I will say the non-organic milks were much lower ...I've just bought organic dairy as much as possible for years now, and it was up about $1.50-2.00 since just 2 wks ago.

I don't do organic with everything, but dairy, chicken and some produce, where I can, I do. Just a choice, not for everyone, I have friends who think "the organic thing is just a scam"...not how I feel, but to each their own.

Interesting, tks for responses everyone.

Yes, try Oat Milk or Almond Milk.  I can't tell the difference. And it lasts a lot longer in the fridge than real milk.

Yes it’s GREAT non dairy milk has a nice long expiration date. 😎

The Ripple Non Dairy milk I just bought is good unopened until 10/14/25.
