Michelle Lau is a great educator...

I have learned SO much about diamonds from Michelle Lau. She is the most valuable guest on The Q and she's not afraid to be completely transparent about diamonds. Last night she was explaining the "bow tie" effect that can occur in both pear-shaped and marquise-shaped diamonds, and which I often see in Diamonique's elongated cuts. It is a horizontal bow tie shape within a diamond or CZ that looks dark in certain lighting.
She also has the most thorough understanding of cuts and clarity, an incredibly complex and involved body of knowledge that requires years of study. I like when hosts let her talk, because she is such a knowledgeable woman and she definitely delivers information that is valuable to every consumer. Brava, Michelle!

@MarnieRez3  Right now I am watching Rosina with Peyton Kelley. She's asking him questions, and allowing him to speak at length in his explanations. So refreshing!

There's always a lot to be thankful for if you take time to look for it.
For example, I am sitting here thinking how nice it is that wrinkles don't hurt.

Yes, she certainly does impart alot of knowledge abt diamonds , however QVC's description of their Affinity and Lab Grown  have vague  descriptions such as  near colorless and included . I've heard Michele in prior  sales promotions  state the items are H color or H-I   so why not put it in writing as to what  color clarity that they want you to buy. Nothing in writing .  By saying nearcolorless the stones could be all I color and are they fully faceted ?  All of Michelle L ooing and awing  abt the dimannd product  does no makeup for a lack of  providing it on paper.

A prior  shopping channel would be very specific on the color and calrity of any  piece with diamonds . They even had lab grown that were G color fully faceted stones.

If you really listen to her she might give general information about stones. When it comes to what is being sold in front of her she Becomes very vague with her information. Saying something is near colorless is not helpful information. I would never buy any gem jewelry from QVC, not enough information. Every time she says lab created stones are diamonds I want to scream. They are not diamonds.

@rockygems123   yes that's true,   My very first engagement ring was an oval and I always saw that bow tie and it always bugged me .   On our 10th anniversary my wonderful husband gifted me a gorgeous cushion cut with trillions on the sides and No more bow tie !!

Oh I had no idea it also can be seen in oval cuts! Thank you for the further education.
Once you see it, you can't unsee it.

@ Kitty Galore
Now that IS a wonderful husband! ♥️
Yes, the bow tie drives me crazy in my pear cut Diamonique too...and it bugs me the way the X in the center of the Asscher cut bothers me, even though I know it's intentionally cut that way.
