I’m wondering why NOW the Q didn’t include the actress Halle Berry among the Q 50 women ?? 🥴

Halle was on GMA recently talking about how she took her fight for women to Capital Hill as she fights to improve funding for Women’s health care as they’re going through Menopause.

She’s speaking out on the subject to take the conversation out of the shadows and put it into the spotlight. (Pretty sure that’s what the Q is doing too!!!

Claimed her male Dr (who she said is one of the Best) didn’t know what was happening to her body when she started going through menopause at 54 yrs old.

I found her interview Very interesting and I could tell she was determined for change !!

Good for her !! The Q is right on track with their campaign too !! 🤗🤗🤗

I don't think I would compare what Halle is doing to what QVC is doing. Halle is trying to improve funding for women's health, while QVC is trying to sell items. Many of the items sold on those Menopause Monday shows are shown many other times throughout the week and have nothing to do with monepause. Same stuff, different day.

I agree with all of the above posts.... I disagree with QVC and "Menopause Monday"    Anything to make a sale..   Go see your doctor.

IMM is tacky. Every woman at some point will go through this. I did but was one of the lucky ones who went early and I don’t recall any symptoms. Talk about with a friend or a doctor.

I have a pretty good sense of humor and I am not prim and proper. Naming a show Menopause Monday is tacky and insulting to women who are struggling through Menopause. I personally had a very rough time. It was not fun. I would think QVC would want to keep things classy, but since they don't, here are a few show suggestions. Testicular Cancer Tuesday, Warts Wednesday, Tinnitus Thursday, Flatulence Friday, Saggy ****** Saturday, and Shingles Sunday. My suggested names for shows are just as classy as Menopause Monday. I don't know who came up with this name or who decided "Yeah, that's a great name for a show. Let's do it." It's insulting and it is TACKY. I shake my head when I think about how backwards we have become as a society.

@L1964 @I agree with you at how backwards we seem to be becoming as a society. I came of age in the 1960's in the dawn of the woman's movement.
At that time women comprised only 6% of medical students and 3% of law students and were almost totally absent from most other professions except teaching and nursing. Until 1974 women were legally unable to have credit cards in their own name. Finally through pressure from the women's movement, a law was enacted to change this though, in reality, it took longer for society to accept that women were capable of making and handling financial decisions.

Blatant sexual "jokes" and "manhandling" were totally acceptable in the workplace and, like today, underneath the bullying  banter was a threat to job security or personal harm. And, of course, reproductive freedom ...

I would never, ever, as a young woman back then have believed that 55 years later women would be giggling over "tinkle" and hot flashes and vaginal lubricants as being daring or breaking new ground. To me it sounds so like the 1950's, "Lucy, you got some splainin' to do" Oh well, enough of my rant. I'm just so glad I had a front row seat and small participation in a movement that opened up real possibilities to half the human population.

QVC isn’t doing awareness. Halle is & not profiting. Women’s health, particularly, in the minority population, is deficient.

There are doctors who specialize in menopause for those who struggle with symptoms & help should be sought there and not on a shopping network.
I worked in the field of women’s health & there are many male doctors who are sympathetic & well versed. They do have wives, mothers, siblings & female patients. I’ve meant many unsympathetic female doctors so it’s unfair to generalize that a male doctor is unaware, incompetent or uncaring. I had a surgical menopause in my 40s & my male doctor was more aware of my discomfort than I was.

I can picture all the smart people sitting around a table with their lets hydrate bottles trying to come up with new themes for shows promoting female this or that.  Mostly shows had been geared toward youth but now they are getting around to the oldsters.  Good luck!  I am more interested in my home...not my hormonal sweats.  Everything these days is so exposed and that is too bad.  I long for the fifties!  Maybe try these theme shows.  Messy Mondays!  Trendy Tuesdays!  Wellness Wednesdays!  Thinking of you Thursdays!  Fashion Fridays!  Stay in touch Saturdays!  Soothing Sundays!  Just stop the old age and hot flash ******...reminders not required.

I remember when the menopause word could not even be used-"the change".

Hows about "All in the Family"? If you're going to change,Edith do it now."

You are correct,Beacon Girl!!
