Re: Mary Beth Retirement Show

  "My Time With Mary Beth:  Retirement Celebration"

" February 28th at 11 am, Q1 "

~~~~~~~~~~
My gosh, QVC, you would select a day that I won't make any purchases - Feb 28th.
                          ~   ~   ~   ~   ~
To:  Mary Beth.
I want to wish you the utmost in happiness in your retirement.  You've done a wonderful service to QVC, QVC Americans, including me.
I feel like a QVC Shopper who virtually grew up with you, and I'm incredibly grateful for that honor!
You've been a sterling example of a compassionate, giving, generous human being, with an apparent, Book adherance, Christian, and an incredible example of a 'Woman for All Ages!'
I continue to wish you a life filled with abundant joy, happiness, love, good health, & contentment.  Heaven knows, as well as I do, you deserve, & have earned this. Take good care...
From this  QVC Mary Beth Admirer -
             Congratulations, Mary Beth!
Re: Mary Beth Retirement Show
I can't imagine crying over any host leaving no matter how much I like them.   Life goes on.   We don't know any of these people, except for their TV persona.  They are flawed individuals like all of us.
Please stop.
Mary Beth was a Cable Value Network host starting in 1987. QVC bought out CVN in fall 1989 and they closed their Minnesota studio by the end of the year. Mary Beth was offered a position with QVC in West Chester, PA and started on air in March 1990. There's a video clip on YouTube.
Aw, she sure will leave a void...she's been "QVC" forever...and the BEST of QVC.
But of course, she's earned a new chapter, and a happy retirement; I wish her the best. I'm enjoying today's show, I have it on in the backround, and will look forward to the rest. I may get a little "verklempt" on the last one. 🥺
She looks so pretty in that SG dress today with the blue blazer over it.
Re: Mary Beth Retirement Show
Its sad shes leaving. I;m glad for her. One thing that is lind of dumb. Everyone will be wishing her well, but at the same time she still has to sell stuff. Pretty dumb. They should make her last 30 mins a retrospective on her time at QVC.
@They CallMe MRWILKES    Why do you care, you said you can't stand her as a hos tin the past? I love how you complained about the Sandra Bennett/Susan Graver thread to get it removed, since Sandra is your fave. Such a RAT and NOT to be trusted! We can't have hosts we dislike, but you can? Who on this planet doesn't like Mary Beth Roe, ugggh you are something else!
Re: Mary Beth Retirement Show
Who was the guy that sold stuffed animals (Boyd's Bears?) that worked with Mary Beth a lot & seemed to delight in getting her flustered & making her giggle?  They were funny together.
@aubnwa01  That was Gary Lowenthal.   He was so funny.  Poor MB had her hands full sometimes keeping him in line.
I always loved watching the two of them together.
