Re: Mary Beth Retirement Show

Assuming that 's her last show.  (Sigh)  Feels like we are losing good hosts left and right.

I guess it's part of the ever going changes in on air shopping channels.  It makes me kind of sad as I do enjoy it and know when it's gone I will miss it.

Thanks for posting the date.

Happy Mary Beth's getting a nice sendoff....she's been there a LONG time...

Other hosts will have it harder.when it's time to go...I have it on good authority that when HSN combines with QVC in the PA studios...there's going to be a show down between David Venable and Curtis Stone....to determine who the next "foodie" star will be....

They will duke it out on the set of ITKWD before the Super Bowl game....

They will wear Demim and Co.bright  satin shorts, Joy Mangano Frankenstein shoes, and be provided with the newest 5 gallon portable water bottles on a shoulder sling....

Mark Charles will be the referee.....Alberti will run happily to and fro to get water with just a hint of lemon juice in it to keep them hydrated....and Geoffrey Zakarian will keep track of each grueling round with a loud BAAAANNNNNGGGGG on the bottom of one of his imported cast iron pans..using a giant spurtle ( think the Gong Show!!! and what ever happened to those spurtle things?!??!?!?!)

QVC and HSN hosts will be surrounding the ring as spectators...urging on thier favorite and providing constant commentary and advice....

It'll be a knock down, drag out fight to the finish ....

Winner will get the prize...a NEW show on Sunday featuring all the same ole same ole  same ole kitchen stuff we've seen for decades......with mattresses, vacuums and oval magical fans thrown in for fun!!!!

The loser gets a standard separation package and a one way ticket to obscurity.....along with a consolation prize...a 64 piece set of Mark Charles snips in every color in the Crayola crayon box, a Halo Bolt, and a set of monogrammed teflon drain stoppers in designer colors.

Order tickets now for the studio audience seats...only a few left!!!

Odds will be posted on Draft Kings for your pre-show betting pleasure!!!

PS...I'll miss the jarring mispronunciation of "LA Crew-Say"  cast iron cookware from Mary Beth!!! 30 years of selling and mangling those words til the very end!!!!

Still trying to figure out if that was on purpose or a wry joke!!!!

Happy retirement Mary Beth!!!

Re: Mary Beth Retirement Show

Fan of both Curtis Stone and David Venable.

Do not believe they would be in competition.

A friendly just-a-homecook-like-you dude who helps sell equipment from a variety of vendors.

Actually see them as quite compatible.
