Management should have someone reading these boards

The complaints are real, the suggestions are real, the outrage is real.  Even the number of  hearts on a post is a perfect indication of viewers feelings.  They are missing the boat if they aren't paying attention.

Re: Management should have someone reading these boards

Someone in management should read these boards BUT the number of posters who are here is a very small fraction of QVC viewers.  Management only pays attention to the bottom line and their only concern is for shareholders.

QVC has bigger problems than which hosts were let go which seems to be the focus of the posters on these forums.

@depglass Do we know that they aren't reading the forums? I seriously doubt upper management reads any of these. However, the mods are very aware of every post. In my opinion, I believe any strong comments that are read, posted, and/or hearted do get passed along.

I read a blog somewhere, can't remember where and it was awhile ago, from an ex-QVC employee. He said he could not give out some info but he was taking questions. One was in regards to TPTB reading this forum. His answer was something like, "you better believe it". It was very interesting. Unfortunately it was a couple years ago so nothing regarding recent layoffs or anything.

Again, as usual, it's my opinion, but constant complaints or positive comments that are hearted by many are probably passed along. But we must keep in mind, even a post with 75 hearts is a small percentage of the thousands of shoppers. With that said, I do think this is an inexpensive way for QVC to do small surveys to get data from us. They can also easily see our purchases and our comments. I think it would be very interesting to see what is going on behind the scenes with this forum.

@kaydee50 As of late I believe the posts are mostly about prices. So many complaints about QVC's high prices but also groceries.

@cjm61,  in addition to what you said I think who is complaining also plays a part in howTPTB might view what is posted.

Not only are the board postings a tiny number of Q customers very often it is the same posters making essentially the same complaints.

Let's face it if Q sells 10,000 of something and gets complaints from 20, 30, 40 or even 100 posters, who may or may not have been actual buyers, the complaints will be noted but generally deemed "sour grapes".

What is good for the goose today will also be good for the gander tomorrow.

@Marp Yes, I agree. In addition, I have seen many complaints here where posters complain they are waiting for the host to give more details and before the poster gets the info needed, the item sells out. Well, in that case, QVC is not worried. They sold out which is their goal.

These boards do not represent the average customer at all.  A fair share are just venting, some are still here who are proud of not buying, and some do buy.  Honestly I don't know why they still maintain it.

@cjm61 Who really knows if anyone of importance is reading here. If they are they see the Jane T. posts and many are pretty hateful. But, she is still here. She sells which is all QVC cares about.
