No, I really didn't even think to file a police report. Maybe we should and this would force QVC to take reasonable action.

I am SO DISGUSTED right now. I've been monitoring my account very closely since this happened. Today I have a new Q card number BUT I cannot see any past action. I CAN see that the pending easy pay charges of over $500 is still on the account even though I cancelled the order on the 29th. QVC customer service rep sent yet another e-mail to corporate (supposedly, I'm starting to doubt that happens, it's just a maneuver to shut up the customer). She kept saying that because it was a holiday weekend no activity was taken on the card. Well, yes, activity did take place because a new number was issued. The CSR just about hung up on me and I hadn't raised my voice or used any inappropriate language I just need answers and NOT that it will take corporate 6 - 8 business days to take action!

Buck-i-Nana and QVCrocks, I just did a quick search on "where to report credit card fraud."

The search hits a few good resources -- you might want to check them out if you haven't already done so.

One thing I'd be sure to do: put everything in writing and send it by certified mail and get a signed return receipt. I think some companies are far too casual about telling us not to worry and everything will be straightened out, and then we discover down the road there are major problems and we're the ones who have to pay in time, effort, and probably money, to try and get back to normal.
