Mary Beth has always been my very favorite host.
I have to be honest and say I wish she'd kept her hair longer; I think it was very flattering.
She is so pretty; I hope she likes it, that's all that really matters. ![]()

What! She does not have an old lady hairdo.
I see many young women wearing this same style.
Some posters say long hair makes you look old and some say short hair makes you look old.
Some women have never worn long hair and some have never worn short hair.
Since every one has a different face structure and hair texture, there is no one style or length that fits everyone just because they are a certain age.
These blanket statements are false. Everyone is an individual and there is no one length fits all.
I just can't figure out why looking older is a bad thing. Ageing gracefully and accepting maturity is a wonderful thing. It's very freeing.

Mary Beth Roe is a lovely woman because true beauty radiates from within, regardless of what our hair or makeup look like. To me, she has always come across as a very genuine and kind-hearted professional woman. When a woman is truly grounded, happy, and content with herself she exudes beauty from her eyes and facial expressions. Hair has very little to do with beauty.
I have been watching QVC for 30 years and Mary Beth has always been a pillar figure on the network selling jewelry, clothing, electronics, Christmas items year in and year out - I will really miss her presence on QVC when she retires in a few months.
A few weeks ago, she hosted a 3 hour Gourmet Food show single-handedly and I was amazed at her stamina and energy level throughout the show. Not too many people could handle that alone - most shows of that duration have two hosts - but she tasted every item and remained high-energy and enthusiastic for the whole three hours.
One of my favorite QVC moments involves Mary Beth. She was filling in for David Venable on his In The Kitchen With David show, and her oldest son called in at the very end of the show to share with his mom that she was going to be a grandma.
Her reaction was such a poignant and beautiful moment.
Mary Beth is an original and the length of her hair is of little importance.

Interesting. Watch the film "A Place in the Sun" with Elizabeth Taylor. She is stunning, around 19 years old and has a hairstyle much like Mary Beth's. So much for being an old lady hairstyle.😉

I have to laugh. ET was 18 when she made that film. Her cut is nothing like mbr.
