There is a cute storage chair for about $75 and I want to buy 2...BUT the S/H is nearly $50 for 1! How do you justify charging 75% of the cost of the item for shipping? Off I go to Amazon. I can get a love seat shipped for free.

Well good for you. You finally figured our how our economic system works. Retailers offer items for sales; we choose whether to buy or not.

I do not understand the constant complaining. There is absolutely nothing that QVC sells that any of us must have to survive. They are entitled to charge what they see fit and we are entitled to search elsewhere if we so desire.

The point being there's nothing "special" about an item when it costs almost as much to get it home as it does to buy it in the first place. And yes, of course, we all are free to vote with our feet, tapping off to other shopping venues. I wonder though, if that's really their goal... If it is, they might want to rethink their mission... They also might want to rethink what might be an acceptable level of profit, versus ringing up a big fat "no sale".

Found a really nice love seat on Amazon, black bonded leather, both sides have recliners, I forget if it was $499 or $599, but it had unanimously good reviews. Free delivery, an appointment scheduled one week out at check out with a 4 hour window. It is a Prime product so those are always no hassle returns with free shipping for the return. I'm so happy I can exercise freedom of speech and express my opinion without being attacked or ridiculed...as a person who has the ability to demolish people with my words, I keep them inside my head. It is against my religion to gratuitously attack others for having an opinion, and I feel sorry for people who feel the need to do that. There is usually a very good reason for people who do that, again, I have enough going for me not to care about the hostility of those I don't know, sticks and stones, etc...hence my frequent use of the ignore button.

Yeah, but it would be nice if something you like on QVC can actually be worked out so you can buy it. QVC has these forums to get feedback from customers. I agree with the OP that charging a 75% add on charge for shipping is ridiculous and it should be brought to the company's attention. There's a lot that goes on in an organization the size of QVC and they rely on the customer to bring things to their attention. OP happens to have an excellent point. QVC is lucky she thought to complain and let them know how they lost someone who would've bought from them.
