For whatever reason, I just don't enjoy watching the IKWIP guy.  And I think that brand name is just weird.

Me too @Krimpette one of the reasons (beyond no need, or special love for the look of their bags), I never, ever, could watch the presentation.

I just happened to see Amy S present one, last week, and sort of thought it looked nice, so I thought, if I ever had the need I might try the brand. That one, in particular looked nicer than similar ones Lug has of that type (the sling/backpack.) Not sure I'd like all their items. But, don't need any, my interest that night was likely a random "whim", lol...and yes, I cannot watch him...everyone is not for everyone, just not my style of presenter.

I like and have both.  However my Lug bags are older and have been purchasing IKWIP bags more recently.

I feel that Lug bags tend to be "cuter" while IKWIP are more modern looking.

I agree.  I don't have either, but if I were to take the plunge I would get Ikwip (in spite of the ridiculous name.)  I think they have more of a cargo, techie kind of a look, whereas the Lug is a bit more refined.

Lug handbags are my choice all the way. I carry the solid colors, and love the fun linings.

The organization is perfect for me, and the lightweight is necessary.

I have all I need, but have been disappointed that the different linings for the different color choices seem more bland and utility than in the past

The IHKWIP don't appeal to me mainly because I find the linings plain. I don't care for shiny handbags, or crossbody straps with printing all over them.

@Tissyanne

I agree with you, except for that statement--I'm the exact opposite!  I prefer the more muted linings.  Some of the patterned linings make it difficult for me to find my things inside.  I feel the same about their wallets, which I also carry.

But then I'm a pretty bland person overall.  Most of my Lugs are black.😄

I have a couple of Samatha Brown Nylon bags, one in denim blue and one in tan & brown, that I sometimes use in summer.  Basically, I just think Nylon bags look cheap and always go running back to my leather.

Just me, but won't purchase anything with a name like IHKWIP.

I'm with you @Sunshine Kate, 'kind' or not, I wouldn't miss either brand if they disappeared. In fact, fine with me to see them and their vendors head out the door. Oh, I have a couple purchased early-on and they receive very, very little use and will probably end up being donated... And yes, ihkwip is the dumbest name...

I agree !! @haddon9 🤗

As far as patent bags go I get more compliments on them than any other bag I carry !

I have quite a few patent bags from the brand that’s no longer at the Q - Think Royln.

I just ordered my first patent bag from IHKWIP in the Carrot Patent that Shawn did a Collab on with the guys.
Can’t wait to get it !! 🧡

As far as leather bags go I don’t use them during the warmer months, especially in the heat of summer. 🥵
I prefer to carry lightweight and not so heavy looking bags. 🥴

I purchase both brands. I will say, for the price point, I lean toward IKWHiP. The boys from New York City are also moving quickly to provide more upscale looking bags, including the new patent and raffia designs, but keeping the organization and material features we like. Adding their chain straps instead of always a guitar strap, is also a nice lady like detail. I think when LUg tried to move toward clothing and the accessories, and as someone noted the "charm bar" feature, they started going in too many directions. And, I actually prefer the soft lining of the phone slots in IKWHIP bags more, it is super soft. LUG feels more like a fleecy material, that I do not care to touch (I admit I am a very tactile person.) I also feel that LUG is recycling existing designs lately. Not that there isn't room for improvement, but how about some truly unique design.

my first choice is LUG, there is better space utilization inside the lug bags. I also have one IKWIP.  For travel both are perfect.

Leather starts out heavy before you even put anything in it. If you are traveling you need the lightweight modern materials like nylon.

Both vendors have good representatives/designers. I actually enjoy looking at both.

I have just a few items from each brand, but if someone told me I had to pick just one, it would be IHKWIP. I really do like that nice young man Baylen; it's becasue he reminds me of my little brother and he just seems so nice. The things I like about both bags is the organization. I like the solid colors that Lug has with the printed linings, but I won't be buying anymore Lug items. I have two bags and two wallets. True, IHKWIP has the plain linings. If I buy anything more in the future it will be from IHKWIP.  IHKWIP just seems a little more grown-up to me for some reason. I wonder which of the two is most popular with shoppers, but Lug has been around longer.  I saw the new IHKWIP heart-shaped zipper pouch too and I liked it/wanted it but I didn't order it becasue I have enough stuff.
