I am "extra" short...and follow the 2/3-1/3 "golden rule" of fashion.

I wear the 2/3 on TOP.

It all depends on the individual's dimensions, and where you place the fractions.

Why are so many of the sweaters and other tops so darn long??  Petite women look ridiculous in such long tops and that's mostly what is offered.  I don't get it!

That is a blanketed statement that does not apply to all of us.

I am short, 5'3" and never order petites.

I have a short torso and LONG tops look best on me.  I do NOT look ridiculous.

It all depends on your body shape...not just your height.

There are plenty of short tops to choose from both at Q and all over the web.

Disagree with your assessment also.  A longer top elongates my torso so I do not look so stubby.  A longer top may not work for you, but on this shorter girl...it does.

Again, everyone's body shape, style is different.  One style doesn't always fit all.

JRT has her shape and I have mine....no where near the same except for our height.

You're right, just my opinion and I think Courtney and Amy do not look good with tops almost half way down their thighs. Not a goid look imo. Doesn't " lengthen " anything

makes them look shorter.

Agree, that being offered various lengths in tops in my opinion , is a win for customers.

Many of the Dennis Basso tops/ sweaters  are nice but he tends to sell all tunic  length which for me are too long . I don't care for the petite length tunics either .

To me alot of the long tops and  jackets that are duck tailed look like  "old lady " style clothes .

I remarked about this very topic yesterday regarding KG's TSV.  I just feel like others that there are just so many tunic style tops these days, what happened to an average length?  I know shorter tops are available on here and elsewhere but the tunics seem to be taking over.  I do wear them at times with leggings so it's not that I don't like them.   I think Kim's TSV top would have looked  much cuter without that huge hem on the bottom.

I'm okay with tunics; I'm 5'3" but I used to be 5'5.5"!  Oh well.  What I don't like, and didn't even when I was taller, are duster-length items.  I think they look like lab coats.

I'm five one or tive two(depending on who's doing the measuring!) and long tops work for me, because the cover my belly and rear, making me more comfortable and less self-conscious. But that's me. We're all different.

I love tunic tops!!!! I feel like if they are regular length, they are too short for me and I’m 5’ 4”. Luckily there are all different lengths for all types of people

I also no longer like long tunic tops.  For many years I wore them but lately I have gotten tired of them.

I feel at 5'1" a shorter top looks better on me.  I like my tops to come just to the tops of my thighs not halfway down to my knees.

I have also noticed that in the fashion world considers tunics to be a bit dated now just like the waterfall cardigans that were so popular for several years.
