@SamBrown We have no idea how much money has been generated by any of the businesses.

Lisa wasn't in business too long. 30% of new businesses don't last 10 years...Lisa's included.

If her business made her money hand over fist, she would still be in operation. She could have hired people to run the business for her, but she didn't.

I owned and operated a hair salon for about 20 years. Due to severe allergies to the products, I had to quit.

I now rent out stations to other stylists in my building. I do occasionally do the hair of family members in the shop, but no longer take appointments.

I would never close a business that is making money just to find something else to do unless there was more money to be made.

Business close when they are not making money. Oh yeah, there are other reasons too, but if you gotta work, not many people would give up a thriving business that was bringing in big bucks.

My sister-in-laws mother organizes trips, mostly cruises. She does it to get free trips. There isn't all that much money in travel anymore.

I can't wait to see what Lisa does next. Living in PA, I get to hear rumors about her, her new fellow, his ex-wife and Lisa's past employees.

The rumors are not good, but I won't repeat them, because I don't know if they are true.

I hope Lisa lands on her feet, but I can't help but think she made some poor choices. Time will tell.

I have generally booked my travel myself, including parts of my travel on the trip I attended with Lisa and her husband. I travel with friends, family, and affinity groups like my church, Lisa's trips, Atlas Obscura, etc. Lisa's social media community which I am not a part of (I'm not on Facebook) is just one of the group travel adventures I have been on. In fact, it was the first cruise I've been on. She works with a wonderful travel agent thru Cruise Planners which is a well known and large travel agency franchise which I have been familiar with for years. While their name includes the term "Cruise", they are a full service travel agency planning any type of travel, both cruises and land travel. Most folks I met on the Christmas Markets cruise with Lisa and Jeff similarly traveled with family, friends, affinity groups, with and without the engagement of a travel professional. She had such a diverse group on the trip I went on that included couples, pairs or more ladies groups, solo travelers, younger, middle age, older folks, super active folks, and retirees from all over the country. Everyone was really nice and engaged with each other and many had previously connected on Facebook. Lisa's advertised trips are just another group of nice people to travel with and see the world.

@Carmie I do hope that Lisa hasn't made the biggest mistake of her life. She's worked very hard. I have noticed that her sisters and dad haven't been around lately.

@SamBrown Since this new fella came into her life, she seems to have lost her other friends and changed her life goals.

He doesn't seem to have any ambition or anything to offer her besides himself. Parasite, perhaps? I get a bad feeling about him.

There is some dirt out there about his previous marriage and his cheating.

I don't know about her family. I don't follow her, but maybe she just doesn't post about them anymore for privacy reasons. Who knows?

Yes, she has worked very hard to get where she is. I just hope she doesn't lose everything.

Of course, I don't know her husband, but I had the same feeling. He was the opposite of what I thought she would choose in a husband. I hope she didn't make a huge mistake either. It's the element of hmmmmm........

Lisa closed her business because it was a very time consuming adventure. It lasted close to 8 years which is pretty good. Btw Jill Bauers business doesn't even compare. Her site imo is very amateur looking and her products are meh. Lisa has worked 30 years where everything she did was eat breath and sleep her career. She talked about during the heyday of the Q when she was designing for GILI she worked 80 hour day weeks. She was the face and Diva of the Q. She traveling to Italy, went to all fashion shows, and was the top female host of any network. Lisa was definitely a bit more vain in her years at Q when she was the billion dollars sales queen. She was dating that very good looking guy Eric towards the end. Now I think Lisa just doesn't want any of that glamour, clout and all the vain things she once held in esteem. She is much more casual, cooks and just I think wants to be with her man. She waited until 57 to get married. Lisa is just a different person now. She truly earned every penny of her retirement and is a power woman.

I am sure Lisa has a pre nup in place to protect her assets. I will say 10 yesrs ago or longer I dont see that LR giving Jeff the time of day. I just don't think she cares about clout or the spotlight. She did it for yesrs and is just wanting a simple life.
