@HB glamma because they liked her?  After all, why not post something? There's no time limit on missing someone.

On the other hand, there are a few of the current hosts that I wouldn't miss for a moment if they left.

They, along with the current repetitive product lines and other issues that QVC has, are the major reason I seldom tune in any more.

I do check the new arrivals online, at least that is a peaceful way to shop, as opposed to being annoyed too often by the presentations.

She was one of many hosts on QVC.  She's been gone nearly a year so why this post?? Why are people still missing a shopping channel host???

I guess for the same reasons people miss anyone or anything they get used to... Besides, compared to most of what remains... well, let's just say the pickin's are kind of slim...

I agree with everything you've stated, Gina @GinaV24, and truly, as for Lisa, it has nothing to do with 'obsession'.

Lisa was a great host and a super salesperson. Many of us enjoyed watching her. Heck, people still talk about Kathy Levine, my favorite QVC host, and she's been gone for a very long time. This is not obsession; it's just commentary. I still miss Jerry Orbach, my favorite TV actor on my favorite TV show, Law & Order. I still enjoy L&O reruns. That doesn't mean I have no life. It just means I enjoy the series. Same with Lisa. Many enjoyed watching her and feel that watching QVC isn't as much fun since she left. What I don't understand is why some posters become so upset that people post things about Lisa. Yes, she left.  Yes, posting about her is not as important as world peace or curing cancer, but sometimes it's OK to focus on less serious topics.

I believe Lisa looked at the monitor in order to get the best angle of the product she was presenting.  I believe this is one of the reasons she was a good host, she described the product and presented it at the best angle.  I have seen other host look at the monitors and I think they looking to see what we are seeing on the TV.  Just my opinion.

I think you may be right about that, but I still was not a LR fan and  I think her fans were and still are obsessed.

Really? I guess I'm on an island here, because I never cared for her. I don't miss her at all.

I always loathed how she watched herself in the monitors and shifted here or there, I assumed, in an effort to give off a more attractive stance. I just picked up on a bit of narcissistic behavior from her.

She's an attractive woman. It's unfortunate that she couldn't relax and just enjoy being her. She didn't need to do all that.

I'm surprised people still don't know it is the host's job to look into the monitor.  It's not to make sure they look good.  It's to make sure the product looks good.  It's to make sure the product is displayed at its best in the way the viewer would see it.  Maybe you have seen Lisa or other hosts actually take a vendor's hand to help steady it, or to move it into the correct camera angle.  Or even, when wearing clothing, to make sure that the clothing looks its best by standing at a good angle.

Being a fan or not of any particular host is immaterial.

to those who think hosts look in the monitor for other reasons,  I have to disagree.  LR more than any other host I've seen would check the monitor, then adjust her hair, adjust her blouse, change her stance, suck in her stomach whatever....it was obvious to the viewer that she was concerned with how she looked!

I wonder if she's still seeing that same gentleman.  Right after she went public with their relationship some rag delved into his background and found a bankrupcy etc etc and I guess he had a couple kids.  I would imagine it would be hard to be thrown into the limelight like that.  I dont know why these papers cant mind their business, especially when there's kids involved.

And so she should look messy on screen?  Of course she was concerned with how she looked.  That was only part of it.    Clearly she was "very" concerned with appearance (I am not saying she wasn't) but that doesn't take away from her professionalism in using the camera to do her job.

Anyone on television or in the public eye is concerned with how they look.  Hosts on tv are no better and no worse than anyone else.
