Re: Lisa Robertson left QVC at the right time

I agree.  While Lisa made a good host to sell on QVC there's just something sort of distant about her.

Re: Lisa Robertson left QVC at the right time

I never watched Lisa and I suspect a lot of other QVC watchers didn't either.  I was a working woman, wore a suit to work, and had nothing to relate to beauty queen Lisa.

She sold a lot of jewelry.  I bought quite a bit back in the day and was given jewlery gifts but they were bought locally.  So I'm not sure Lisa was the be all and end all for the majority of women watching.

Re: Lisa Robertson left QVC at the right time

Lisa sold the same things the other female host sell in the evening hours, the clothing, the accessories, the shoes, the skin care and make up, and yes the jewelry.

She seemed to have a good rapport with all of the designers.

And from my perspective, she knew her products. She knew to give details of a product. A purse would be opened, both sides shown, pockets and zippers mentioned, and dimensions down to the drop length of a strap was discussed.

Seems like such little details are so sorely missing now.

I don't remember what my own family did 11 years ago.

Why would I give a rat's furry behind about a total stranger....

Way past time to move on.

I'm surprised that there isn't a birthday post by the OP since she celebrated her 60th birthday yesterday, Nov 7th.

There's always a lot to be thankful for if you take time to look for it.
For example, I am sitting here thinking how nice it is that wrinkles don't hurt.

I can’t believe this birthday is 60 years! So glad to be at a place where there is work/life balance and a wonderful man to spend it with.  Thank you for sticking with me!

Re: Lisa Robertson left QVC at the right time

I remember her black "Gumby" pants and the fuss over her wearing them everyday non stop.

I never watched her too much.  But, I remember that she kept looking into the monitors and adjusting her hair bump.  It was distracting.

I don't think I ever bought anything she presented.  She was never a favorite of mine.

I prefer Kathy Levine.  Now, she was a good host. IMO, the best one QVC ever had.

Re: Lisa Robertson left QVC at the right time

All these people here upset about LR being mentioned but continue to flood these posts wuth comments. LR gets more interest 11 years late then 90 percent of the current QVC. WVC has become boring imo it has no pizazz. There sales declines are showing it. Happy 60th to Lisa. What i love is she has made her millions by being such a smart cookie. She invested in real estate, had a successful business and she smart to continue to work.
