qvcfreak wrote:I ordered 3 gifts, all for my son on the 14th from other companies but it doesn't matter if they arrive late. We delivered his big gift last Friday, a 2012 Dodge Ram 1500. He and his father "shed some tears" as my son put it. We also had a hands free blue tooth radio installed as they weren't available with the 2012 model. I received delivery confirmation for one on the 21st and the other two says 27th and that will be fine. He isn't expecting anymore gifts. Merry Christmas everyone.
@qvcfreak, a Dodge Ram 1500, what a great gift. My GS, almost 16yrs. old, has saved for years to buy a truck, which he got a few weeks ago - also a Dodge Ram, older model in great condition - body and mechanically, except for the interior. So all of his gifts/$ will go to improving that. My DS and GSs work on & build vechicles, so this project, like all the rest, will be fun.

It looks like a few of us, who posted on this thread, won't be 'making the headlines of: How the Q ruined my Christmas' ... The best to you & yours.

@mzlg, I am not even sure how you meant that reply. BUT, I will rant & complain when I feel like it. You can skip over my posts from now on.

@mzlg Thank you and congratulations to your GS. What an accomplishment for him. And how exciting to restore the truck, he will make great memories.

@TX-starlight, well, I'm sorry & I apologize that you must have misunderstood what I was saying and I did not make my thoughts clear.
The very first part is that I was agreeing with you. Because, if I received a defective item or an item that was someone else's and not what I ordered I would be posting my dissatisfaction, hence: The Q Ruined My Christmas. I then separated that part, like a new paragraph with a ' ~ '
~
and started to go on that if I or anyone posted under that title - then do so - those who want to read it, great! However, those who were complaining about the topic, shouldn't bother reading or posting their negative comments, since it was a topic that was of no interest to them. I stated that others come to the Forum and rant/vent about all kinds of things, so why shouldn't the one who wants to talk about their day being ruined, be able to do so too?!
~
another break / stating (in a joking manner, which obviously failed) that there are always those who decide that the topic is not to their liking, they just have to chime in, to make their day - stirring the pot, when all they had to do was just move on.
~
Again, I apologize for not making myself clear, that I was agreeing with you. Have a good weekend.

I say give them a break. If their relationship with the intended recipient is so tenuous that a late gift ruins Christmas then the poster really needs a place to seek sympathy (but not for the late delivery).
@Marp. Love your avatar. I love Mountain Lions/Pumas/Panthers whatever anyone calls them
