I'm not feeling these new sets.

That is all; carry on.....

In the scheme of things its a small detail, but I think the sets are what catch your interest especially if you are flipping channels, it causes one to take a second look at what's presented....

I always felt that QVC's sets were beautifully done and inviting....However, I agree, about the new sets. It seems QVC has taken a page from HSN which to me have always had some very cheap looking and unappealing sets....some are downright ugly...

It appears that QVC is once again trying to appeal to the  younger demographic with a more modern minimalistic look...QVC needs to come to the realization they have a niche market of the 40+ age group and will never appeal to the millenial group.....

They should be so lucky to have a 40+ market.  Isn't it generally considered to be 55+?

The so called kitchen set is awful.

For whatever reason,  I agree that the new sets all around are quite awful.

It's as if there was excess money in the redecorating budget and they just needed to keep people busy.

The 40 plus age group was an opinion given by a columnist in the Wall Street Journal...

In an interview with Hillary Milnes with Shop.org Mike George said the average QVC customer is from 35 to 64 year olds, with the average customer age clocking in at 50......... 😉

And in the Philidelphia Inquirer on 8/8/19 in an interview by Ellie Silverman said...."The company has said its core customer base is women between the ages of 35 and 64. And George touted certain improvements to analysts, such as a digital first launch of an exclusive fashion collection with QVC that attracted 80 percent of its new customers from the 25- to 44-year-old demographic."------(JMHO--DREAM ON with that 25 yr old age bracket-----LOL!!!)

@Spurt I was going to say cheap looking but thought I'd get slammed.  I saw one of the hosts sitting at the island in the "kitchen" and thought it looked really cheapo.  I think it has something to do with the stark white walls against the dark reddish floor.  Combine that with some of the furniture pieces that look like they came out of a storage container.  I suspect they were going for eclectic, but they missed their mark.

I agree.  Showing anything in that staircase/sofa set doesn’t work well.  Lighting is too dark and clothing is cramped.  I also don’t understand the split screen if the person who is not the host is not showing any interesting aspects of the product.  Seeing someone in bed or just someone ‘s face talking doesn’t seem conducive to selling the product. I really just want to see the selections so I can decide.  Maybe the floor directors could get the camera people to focus on the product and not on the host.  Just my thoughts.
