Re: Less hugging and kissing

Maybe I’m in the minority, but I think the more hugging and kissing the better... and not just on QVC... but rather whenever possible and appropriate! The world needs more love, sweet love.... always and forever. How I would cherish the chance to give one more kiss or hug to those i love and have lost or those who have gone before us... I try to remember that, by expressing affection for friends and family often.

That being said... I am a healthcare professional... so I always advocate for taking precautions to keep myself and those around me safe and healthy!

Re: Less hugging and kissing

I think the hugging and kissing is dumb.  You know they just saw each other in the green room.

Re: Less hugging and kissing

I personally don't see the need for any of it. Overkill.

I mean come on, it would look pretty silly if people out in the workplace

were costantly doing this hugging and air kiss/kiss stuff.

What is wrong with a simple hello? Absolutely nothing,

Not only is the kissy kissy stuff unnecessary, it also comes off as very fake.

I heard one or two of the hosts mention that they were "air kissing" because of all the viruses going round.

I think they always air-kiss.  I've never seen actual kissing on QVC.  It would be interesting though.

Re: Less hugging and kissing

We are all big huggers in my family, however, at work this would not happen!

Oh, good heavens...the virus again.....LOL    All of our heads are going to explode over it.  Do people understand that this COVID 19 will be with us for many months, we're at the very beginning so seeing the bogey man in every single thing, regardless of how ridiculous it is, is just crazy.  I have no doubt  that hosts and vendors are hugging and kissing each other as much as they ever did.

@chrystaltree   "Oh, good heavens", many are taking precautions...elbow touching instead of the hugs and kisses, hand sanitizing, staying out of huge crowds, etc. Ridicuous to you is called cautious to others IMO.

I've never understood why they hug and kiss when they see each other. I mean, when you work with someone, is it your normal to greet that person with a hug / kiss. I've always thought it's silly.

No. If it were, I would file a harassment complaint.

Re: Less hugging and kissing

I saw Alberti fist-bump a vendor over the weekend.  Maybe that will be the new normal.
