With my retirement looming later this year (yay!)....I made an "oath" to my hubby this AM that with April's Q card payment, I will pay it off in full.  Then the card goes into hibernation and my viewing will be cut as well. The only orders that I will place are for shoes because I have fat feet and cannot buy shoes at any dept. store and my current auto delivery orders that run through the summer and fall this year.  After that I will order from the vendors directly for my beauty products.  I do like my Elemis and Yensa products and even Whish.

Putting it in writing also makes me accountable Smiley Happy

I have enough clothes to get through my first couple of years of retirement just fine and like I posted on another thread, I have taken a liking once again to Lands End with their awesome sales.  I also buy from J Jill and will continue to do so with their also awesome sales.

My hubby just smiled and wished me luck with my "oath"...time and tide will tell.

Good luck to you @Seminole.  I am well on my way.  I cut back drastically last year, and only have one more easy pay on a bracelet.  I have enjoyed my shopping here for sure, but I have enough for now.  Hopefully for a long time 😁.

someday, centuries from now, archeologists may unearth my accessories collection. Fossilized remnants of wallets, wristlets, purses. It will be epic !!

@Seminole2  I should be taking the same oath. Those easy pays though. So tempting. Good luck with your plan

@smoochy great reply! and yes it is though darn ez pays...........but the funny thing is when I buy from HSN (not often) I pay in full.  No idea why....

If I do not watch then I will not buy.....and free shipping with Q is not enough to make me buy something now vs later when they offer it up because a lot of times they will raise the price of the item.

Will let everyone know how it goes.

You will need so much less in retirement, especially clothes and accessories. Buy only what you know you'll use.

Congratulations on your retirement! I retired two years ago and it is wonderful.  I don't buy many clothes anymore, the only hobby I have is perfumes but I buy middle eastern dupes that are fairly inexpensive.  Its still fun to shop but you can for sure do with less in retirement.

The best thing about retirment besides the obvious is afternoon naps!

I think if You can AFFORD to shop and throughly ENJOY it…

Meaning it makes you HAPPY !!

Brings You JOY!!

Don’t Stop !! Life’s too short!!

I had a wise elderly friend tell me that and she lived til the age of 90. And boy did she ❤️ to shop !! 🥰
