Laura seemed to be warm and she had some long term friends too.  It is hard to lose a sibling late in life.  She has my sympathy.

I feel for Laura.  Losing a loved one is very hard, especially around the holidays.  She seems a lovely person and I always enjoy her presentations.  I give my condolences to her and her family.
