There's no mention or fanfare when someone is let go. They just leave.
Long time hosts who retire deserve a word or two, simple celebration, too.
I think Mary Beth was there when I started watching many, many years ago. It was mentioned that she helped new hosts get in the groove.

Staying that long at just one job, is absolutely amazing!! And that deserves recognition. I have always liked MBeth, thought she did a good job. I am happy for her and wish her the best. Will I watch any of the hoopla--prob not.

I really want to watch the Friday show. I'm setting the dvr just in case! She has always been professional and kind. Wishing her the best. She seems so loved by the vendors and coworkers! Time for her new chapter!

Dan Hughes posted about it last night on Facebook. I'm sure we will see many pics posted on social media amongst the hosts attending.
Edited to add:
Yep, pics are being posted. Here's Mary Beth and Jill at the party
Scott Grimes posted a picture on FB this morning. There were 300 people in attendance, current hosts, former hosts, vendors, etc. Dan Hughes, Rick and Dan Wheeler were next to her her up front. I was surprised to former host TJ in the front row also. He wasn't around for too long. Jennifer Coffey had said she wasn't allowed to attend.

I have seen quite a few photos on Facebook already. Many former hosts and also vendors there. A nice tribute to Mary Beth.

Why wouldn't Jen be "allowed" to attend........that is really strange. Since Dan and TJ were there you would think her and Kerstin would be there as well.

@Seminole2 - I thought it was strange about Jen also, but she mentioned it in one of her posts with no details.
Edited to add: Sandra Bennet posted a group picture on FB and Kerstin was there. Saw Dave King, Sharon Faetsch and many vendors.
Dan Hughes and Melissa McGoff also posted pictures. Dan said Mary Beth trained 42 hosts over the years, so maybe she invited them too which is why TJ was there.

I will be watching as many others will also. I have been with the Q for many, many years and loved her programs. Today, I don't watch it anymore. Nothing interesting to buy on from what I see online like in the old days.
My house is practically QVC from long ago.
