Price check before buying. The same chair is $489 in my 5 state area.

How many of these chairs have been the "special"???  Can't believe that people buy such an expensive piece of furniture without trying it out first.

Wow!

That is some price difference.  Hope people price check before buying.

@CalminHeart

But but but.....shipping is included!!!! (It's 500+ dollars apparently!!!)

And "free setup"!!

I love when these ads show clean cut, uniformed delivery guys...that is NOT what you are going to get...just the two guys in the truck unloading ANOTHER heavy chair before lunch, thinking "and where is THIS lady gonna want us to drag this thing... and will we get a tip do you think and did  you getta load of this place?????  TEN CATS IN THE HOUSE?!?!?!!?"

Same as those window installation ads...the guys in clean uniforms in your home installing windows...or gutters or whatever...NOT.

SO much deception today.

Thanks for the heads up!!!!! Not in the market for one of these, but I'd definitely look local first if I were....or online....!!!

@CalminHeart Well to be fair, we should price check all purchases from any retailers. Sometimes I find a better price than QVC, sometimes I don't. Sometimes I will shop online and pay a little more for the convenience of shopping and browsing online, other times, I will price check locally.

That's weird.  On the LA-Z Boy website, it's $1,299 for the manual and $1,899 for the power.  Shipping is $99 and there is a 6 to 8 week lead time.

@CalminHeart    I find such a price discrepancy for the same item to be very difficult to believe

I would think that individual stores have some discrepancy in what they charge.  The webiste is like a "brochure" price, who ever pays that???

Exactly! When we needed a new La-Z-Boy, we went to the La-Z-Boy store in our area. I must have tried every chair in the store twice before deciding on one. It took over an hour. I would never buy a chair that expensive on TV. It would be a nightmare to return it.
