LOG IN ISSUES........GETTING LOCKED OUT!

For the past few days I have been having terrible issues where I am locked out of my account online.  I am glad to see it isn't just "me".  I called at least 4 customer service reps and all they could do was write to the IT Dept. of QVC.  Finally, this evening I was able to get onto the webstie, but, that sure did upset me and frustrate me!  I just wish when these things happen that we can at least speak to someone from that department or at least find out from them what is going on.  It has been happening quite often lately.  I decided NOT to get frustrated and it's "technology" and there is not much I can do about it except wait it out and hope that they fix it!  Patience is a "blessing"!!!  I am learning "slowly"!

I still have issues getting in.  I usually have to try several times.  I admit that my patience is lacking some days and I just give up.  Between this and stuff on my Iphone - at times I feel like throwing it against the wall!  Not that this will solve anything --- LOL!

Re: LOG IN ISSUES........GETTING LOCKED OUT!

The Q seems to be constantly changing their website around and that often causes log in problems for some.  I've noticed the last few days I'm getting an old "drop spot" app pop up that was gone for quite a while.

I always come in here with a clean history and cleared cookies.  If that doesn't work, try a different browser if you can.  Also, sometimes logging in from different areas on the website will work, for example, from the main page or your account.

If you try several things and still can't get in, you just have to keep trying.  It really can be frustrating.

Clear your cookies, cache, and history. Then set up a new password. It works for me.

Re: LOG IN ISSUES........GETTING LOCKED OUT!

Another thing: Pay careful attention to what the website is asking you to do. Sometimes, it will ask for an extra confirmation of the password or the user name, and if you just try to log in blindly, you won't get in.

For those who want to "speak" to someone in IT, that will never happen. IT departments are often staffed at a 1/100 ratio, so that's barely enough for internal employees to work with, much less have them work directly with customers.

I wonder if some of these log-in issues are because the site/e-commerce software is at capacity in terms of user licensing or if it's just not extensible. Fixes on applications this busy are like changing a tire on a car going 80 MPH.

Re: LOG IN ISSUES........GETTING LOCKED OUT!

It happened to me again this week. I called CS and they sent a link to unlock my log in. I did not reset my PW. Yes, I do clear my trash. I have been experimenting with loging into the main Q page and then log into the Forums. I seem to have more problems if I try to log into forums before logging into main page.

This morning I logged into the main page and then tried the Forums. My message was that the Q site was not available. After about 3 tries and a few minutes it was ok. It seems like a general tech issue with Q.

I recall the forums having problems that started with several people, then everyone. It took months to "repair" it.
People stopped shopping, wrote letters and finally it came back. I hope it's not happening again. I'd miss friends here!

I had trouble logging in to reply to this post last night, but was able to do so today. Oh, the irony of it all! I've been having trouble logging in off and on for a week.
