I don't really think this is a totally insensitive question quite frankly. I have a husband with stage IV cancer that has spread. We have been dealing with this together for 1.5 years. I am his primary caretaker, spend numerous hours dealing with insurance companies, disability companies, doctors, doctor's appointments, radiation, infusion therapies, pharmacies, my own issues, take care of a house, and assorted animals, and a career that keeps me busy 40+ hours a week. There's a whole lot of caregivers out there that cannot NOT work for financial reasons. I am happy Lisa will not need to work but this is not really that rude of a question that people should be chastised for asking IMO. Most people have to work and you do what you need to do; I would venture a guess most caretakers do work.

A customer of mine told me she saw my photo on face book....I'm not on face book and I have no idea who took the photo or what the photo was about....I am not happy.

FB has some good too. It's like everything else, good and bad people are on there. If people would just use common sense a lot of the bad could be avoided. People worry about privacy on FB, but if you know someone's name you can use the "people searches" and learn all about them. I know, I searched for me and it was all there online. And as for all the discussion of who would and who wouldn't post what on FB, let's face it, there's some awfully personal stuff posted right here on these boards. Yes, they're a bit more anonymous than FB, but in today's world, some people seem to lack essential boundaries... I'm not saying what is and what isn't appropriate, because that's a fully individual choice...
