Re: Kristine Zell still hosting

I'm not a fan, she is usually unprepared and interrupts the vendors

mid-sentence when the vendor is making an important point so she can  share a silly personal story (even vendors looked annoyed)...Even if I'm interested in the products in the show, she makes me grab the remote I can't take it after awhile...no sales for QVC....

It seems she always comes across with a fake personna and rehearsed interaction with the vendor instead of being natural.... and she's had 10 yrs broadcasting experience and been with QVC for awhile and went through an extensive training progrm with Mary Beth....Hosts hired after her are further along in their development....But QVC seems to have special plans in store for her because they seem to keep trying to spotlight her....Meanwhile it seems they are giving good host, Katie MCGee, the shaft....and banishing her to bad hours on Q2 Woman Frustrated

It is really interesting how each host comes across and/or affects you and me, the viewers.  I think they have a bigger impact than QVC actually realizes; "higher-ups" have an agenda and I for one do not like any the changed programming/formats for Q1,2&3.  On this forum are the same criticisms of the same hosts for their interactions or lack thereof, professionalism or lack thereof, behavior, demeanor, immaturity, good/bad voice and what we hear from that voice.  Those who receive much negative feedback here seem to continue to thrive on air.  I see one host who receives criticism on his food etiquette is now going to be the regular host of a Gourmet Food Show at a set time/day each week (saw the ad yesterday).  Why has he been moved from Q-Beauty to Q-1?  I will not be watching for he is not viewable to me, food or other shows!  But then we are being over-saturated with kitchen/food shows and as much as I used to love these shows, most of them have become unwatchable for numerous reasons. The only one worth watching is Stacey Stauffer's Mon/6pm Q2 Step-by-Step Cooking Show although unfortunately it has been on sporatically over the last month.

I like her very much and as others stated she has improved very much since she started.

Re: Kristine Zell still hosting

She's another host who can put a lot of food away in an hour! It's not pretty watching her eat and talk. Won't watch Kristine Zell host a food program ever again . . . no matter how interesting the food might be. It became unappetizing very fast.

Saw her on a Bose show.  Did a lot of dancing, etc.   I don't care for her hosting style.  She seems to be favored by the QVC admin people.

@BirkiLady: I wonder if you're confusing Kristine Zell with Rachel Boesing. I don't think Kristine has ever hosted a food show but Rachel B. does on a regular basis.

@Spurt @BirkiLady : Thanks for the info. I don't watch QVC2. Didn't know she did gourmet shows. Smiley Happy
