No it's not. It's taking to task QVC and whoever chooses outfits for models that look terrible on them.

the confusing part for me is why someone would think what they consider looks good is the standard that all should adhere to.
how does that happen? one day a light bulb goes off and they think they are the all knowing? then they have to go out and ensure all know they are the only correct way?
i probably will never understand that.
@TheMemphisVette , It's called having eyes and a mirror..
@QVCkitty1 It's called arrogance.

Too thin can be as unhealthy as being overweight.
I don't think there's much danger of American women being too thin, unless they have a medical or mental health issue. We're overweight (I'm one of them) because of the terrible American diet--too much fat, carbs, sugar, etc.

@QVCkitty1 An opinion can only be wrong when it misaligns with facts. YOUR opinion, as valuable as you believe it to be, is not fact.

@PuppyLoverBob666 It's called a discussion forum for a reason.

Good grief, a plus size model was wearing a bathing suit that showed her cleavage and butt cheeks. She was wearing the proper size (having a bigger, baggier swimsuit doesn't change the cut of the suit). There was nothing obscene about it, let alone bordering on pornagrophy--even when she turned around so that potential buyers could see how the suit fits in the back. And to suggest that QVC doesn't respect women and that they "force" models to wear clothing is ridiculous. I think there are people on this forum who do not respect women enough to refrain from constantly policing their bodies.

The whole idea is that everyone has their own personal aesthetic as to what is pleasing to their eyes. Period. It's not a question of "shaming," which is a very over- and misused word. It is strictly a matter of personal preference. I have seen some clothes that make me gasp, and some of the models and how they are dressed are simply NOT pleasing to my eyes. Everyone has their own idea of what body type IS pleasing to look at. There is no reason to pretend that everything looks wonderful when it does not.
However, not liking the way a model looks or is styled, does not give people the right to be nasty. I think it is pretty much widely agreed that when people appear to be wearing clothes that are the wrong size, it is not a good look, but that is what we are shown. Regardless of the model's/host's body size, I personally think that clothes that are so tight that you can see every nook and cranny on their bodies is not pretty - regardless of the body size or shape.
