Years and years ago, it used to be that celebrities had managers or a person who kept bad comments (via regular letters / mail) away from actors, celebrities, etc.

If I were a celebrity, I would hire or ask a friend/relative to delete all very negative comments from my various sites.

I beleive the Q has some sort of rule re: asking it's hosts to keep away from reading posted comments here at Community Forum.

I never heard that before. What I did hear from some celebrities is they don’t read anything good or bad.

The rule pertains to THE FORUMS...

COMMUNITY GUIDELINES:

Only select QVC employees (Moderators etc) are permitted to post in the forums - If things go off topic or become unpleasant, we may comment to get things back on track before needing to remove the post entirely. We may just want to say hello and that we are enjoying your conversation. All employee profiles include a QVC identification.

Now even with that said, some hosts have admitted on other social media sites that they do read the Forum comments but don't reply.  Other hosts have said they never read the Forums and were advised against it....

The internet is vicious. I don't follow anyone on FB and certainly have no interest

in a Q host.  I've seen years of vicious posts about Q hosts on this forum. Shameful.

People like Kerstin do break down and cry on their social media sites.

Recently I saw Selena Gomez crying hysterically on hers !!

Some choose to live their lives in the open. Nothing wrong with that. 🙄

Think about this critically though. If you are in the throes of an emotional moment, is it your first thought to grab your camera, cell phone, tripod, etc, and record yourself? If that IS your first thought, what happens to the emotions, the tears, the distress while you are taking the time to set up the shot? If you're a normal person, those tears are going to stop, and the moment would be lost. That can only mean that you have to try to conjure up those feelings again and again until you get the footage you want.

How is such posing acceptable?

So, yes there IS something wrong with someone who obviously needs to fake emotional distress in order to get social media attention.

It's not that the tears themselves or the emotions are offensive,it's the pretense and the artifice displayed by the person posting it, not to mention, the lemming followers who comment on how "authentic" and "real" the poster is.

If you have the presence of mind and even the desire to pause, film, record and share such a moment, let's just be honest, you're not too terribly upset.

BOTH of them and others who cry or breakdown in public are attention-seeking drama queens.

If that’s the case Selena got the attention she wanted.

She was on the Entertainment sites and The World News !!
