I never see her on QVC except for Saturday mornings. Hardly there at all.

@plunker8  News of her possibly leaving has been swirling around. I thought it would be along the lines of her having other plans in the works.

So then I question why she considers the news 'sad'...hmmm. In most cases, hosts really have made other plans. Of coarse there were a few hosts that have been blindsided like Carolyn, Dan & Antonella.

QVC no doubt is making big changes for the near future. I'm sure a lot of hosts 'cheese' is being moved and all are having to make adjustments. Don't forget, QVC just celebrated JT's odd 38th yr anniversary.

The future of QVC & beyond is going to be 'interesting'...

That is pretty presumptuous if she does consider "sad" news that she is leaving, which would not be sad to me, and others.

If she says she has sad news she should have said it then.

And it's not sad if its not that someone died or is terminally ill!.

Jeez maybe some of these hosts really do believe thay are stars!

@Susan Louise You just made me realize something about QVC. Nothing about it is really interesting to me now.  

Kitchen shows I used to love:  Blah and boring now.  Nothing new, no cooking, no new ideas.

Jewelry?  Not much interesting either.  I have more than I need.  With gold and silver prices now little of it is worth buying to me.

Clothing?  No. I can find petite clothes that really fit me in other places either cheaper or more expensive but nicer. 

Gadgets?  Nah.  Shoes?  Nah.  Makeup and skin care?  Not brands I would consider now and I don't buy makeup much ever. 

Valerie? No. I don't buy decor.

@Sooner  I think you are misunderstanding what I am considering the interesting part...

I thought she had announced quite a while ago that she would be going part-time and only do her Saturday show with Alberti? I don't think it was her choice, hence the sad part. But, she has been trying to become a speaker and sell herself as a wellness coach, which I don't think has been really successful. I think her departure has been overshadowed by Jennifer Coffey's, who is also trying to create new businesses and promote herself and her "mainfesting." I don't know how successful those have been, either. While Jennifer, at least promotes her leaving as a positive thing, Kerstin doesn't seem to know how to do that. IF that is the announcement.

@on the bay She said sad news for her "followers" so it may be sad for that group.  Fortunately for me I neither like nor dislike particular hosts.  They are just people doing a job.  I watch for the program/product I may be interested in, not for the host.

Considering all the breakdowns this year and crying jags that Kerstin films of herself on her Instagram page, maybe  leaving would help to improve her mental state.

Also, she has a coaching business with a certificate from an online school. She has given some questionable advice especially in regard to sunscreen. Maybe going back to school and actually getting a degree in nutrition? That's a good thing. No need for her to be sad.

After the Carolyn "disaster", perhaps the Q is giving hosts a way to back out gracefully...
