Carolyn and Dan were not fired! Why do some repeat that lie?
Do some not understand that being fired has an entirely different connotation and when stating they were fired one is besmirching them as employees?
Laid-off not fired. Big difference. Hugh. Some seem to think the results are the same. They are not
Call it what you want, Dan totally behaved as if he was fired!
@ellaphant Dan was in the group that was laid off -- not fired. Yes, Dan has been quite bitter about being laid off (understandable). After it happened he posted none-too-subtle negative comments about QVC several times on his Facebook account (very dumb!). Never, ever burn your bridges publicly. Not just QVC gets wind of it, but other companies that could hire you don't want that chance of you bad-mouthing them if things don't work out.
It seems all of the laid off hosts have made varying success of their situation, even back at QVC.
Dan has written books, and went back to his stand-up comedy, but things don't seem to be thriving yet. He also sold Scrub Daddy on Tik Tok, working for the Scrub Daddy company. That lasted for about a month.
The successful ones know it's business, not personal. Be an asset, not a liability. Take advantage of the contacts they've made, and the customers that still follow and will buy from them.
Kerstin is good at selling, whatever it is she sells.

I think Dan should be grateful for all the years the Q gave him a chance to have a very good life!
And after all those years, I hardly think he's poverty stricken.

Sorry, but if it was 100% business, hosts like Carolyn and Dan aren't fired/laid off while far less competent people are hired. Won't name names so the topic stays up, but we all know who they are.
These people are selling far worse than Carolyn/Dan and are in zero danger of being "laid off."
Stacey Stauffer is another person who did a good job and was given the pink slip.
Bring back Dan/Carolyn/Stacey and get rid of 3 unnamed current hosts and sales are guaranteed higher.
Kristine Zell struggled a lot for much of her tenure, improved a ton at the end but still was dismissed, and you have current hosts who are selling less than she did on her way out..
Anyone that has any connections to QVC knows it's not the sales numbers that's causing certain people to be fired and others to be hired.

@longtimeqvcwatcher So it appears you are knowledgeable about actual corpoporate sales numbers for all the hosts. OK, I don't have that information.
My opinion, like 99.9% of those here, is based on what I see on air, and who we may like as hosts, or read on their social media accounts.
Seasoned hosts have much higher salaries and total compensation packages in their contracts. New hires come in at much lower salaries and lower incentives. It does not take someone intimate in the financial records to know that.
Kristine Zell? She was terrible as a host from day one all the way till she walked out the door -- she never improved a bit. She was given another chance as an on air brand rep when she was hired by Christian Siriano on HSN, but she flunked that as well. You never mentioned Gabrielle Kerr who was also laid off; was there some conspiracy about her leaving as well?

What about Katie McGee? I thought she was a terrific host.
Gabrielle seems to have carved out a nice gig presenting items frequently on The CBS Morning Show. I enjoyed her hosting style also.
And I bet that Stacey enjoys her guest role much more than full time hosting. And it may be as, if not more, lucrative.

@THEY CallMe Mr Wilkes Gabrielle has indeed stayed employed. She presents products on CBS, sells Lug handbags on social media for Lug, and also sells Kim Gravel's LWYA makeup line on social media.

Kerstin seems like a gal who wil say and do anything to make a buck. She is surely proud of her body since every other post shows her in the tiniest bikini. (She looks great in them if you prefer the body of a 10 yr old boy). But I would hesitate to take her seriously about faith or health.
She chases every fad--cold plunge, sauna, mouth take, grounding sheets, castor oil, supplements, red light, etc. Perhaps she's going after the audience who likes their minstry with a side of tanned skin. Her podcast is filled with QVC people or others who are doing the same thing as she is--selling their own podcast. It reeks of "I rub your back, you rub mine".
I find her quite fake. So of course she's back to selling products. Before she left the Happy Viiking shakes were her "must haves"...now she's the wellness vp for Vitahustle...so of course they are tthe best shakes. All in all...she's a salesperson. If she can make a buck from selling shakes or clothes or God she will do it..most likely wearinng a bikini.

@srgtdj she is always flaunting her belly button ring in those bikinis. I guess at age 48, which is 8 yrs my senior, if you can rock the body, than so be it. I just don't like on Jennifer Coffey's 1st podcast that Kerstin threw her hardworking hubby under the bus and says that she basically provides for the family of 5. It was such a dig at her husband and she threw him under the bus. If you can't have your hubby's back than that is someone who is tough to trust, IMHO.
Hopefully, their marriage has strengthened since she has been home with more time. I know at one point she had said that things were rocky and not well in one of her vids where she was crying on IG. Usually, infidelity, finances, drugs/alcohol, or sickness are main reasons marriages fall apart.
