I should add I like Macys too, but I can tell my store with merchandise just barely there will be one of the 150 stores to close next year ! 😩

QVC host are know by sight, and I ventured most seldom by name, to those watching QVC on a regular continual basis. 


Seems to me a small segment of the population.

Her hair looked whole lot better.

There’s only 27 QVC hosts. 😉


The majority have been hosting more than 15 years. And only a handful of new hosts that aren’t on the main channel.



You don’t need to watch regularly to know them. 🥴



But of course last time I checked, Memory plays a big role! 🤓

I never liked watching Kerstin but what she does now has no affect on me.  At least she is doing something!

I just saw that commercial with her.  She looked very 80's with an 80's hairstyle.  Strange.  Well she's making a living anyway.  Didn't watch her presentations very often.

I was just thinking in general, not specifically about Kerstin or any of the former hosts....

 

One of the unique factors of perceived popularity of a QVC host is that they are primarily in the homes of a demographic that's over 60.  QVC has millions of viewers, yes.  But QVC has stated in their own financial reporting to analysts and shareholders that their core customer is women over 60.

 

So when a former host goes out beyond QVC, their popularity is very limited if they're depending on just that demographic, no matter how many sold on QVC.  

 

They are up against social media and technology, and a population of all ages and groups.  Most of the that new audience has never heard of that host, at all.  

 

Look at who QVC assigns all of their hosting on TikTok.  It's always the newer, younger hosts that attract the demographics there.  They have the opportunity to start out by gaining a more diverse following across all groups, because that's where many more advertisers and eyes are in retail.

 

While she was never my favorite host on QVC, Kerstin is a dynamic sales person.  She's attacking many different sales avenues and seems to be gaining a wider breadth of audience, not just people who followed her or even knew her on QVC.  That seems very, very smart to me.

@Puppy Lips   AMEN to you about seeing her for a lifetime now. I've had several QVC friends UNfollow her on FB & IG because they feel she is coming off like such a phony promoting every company under the sun. I realize its good to strike the iron while its HOT and I believe she must be getting kickbacks from every company she does a short ad for. 

 

There was a recent comment on her IG that said, "For a Christian who isn't about the $$, you are coming off like a money hungry SNAKEOILSALESWOMAN." It received many likes! I have to say that it is kind of getting a lil bit overkill when she is pushing a new company's brand and calling it "THE BEST" in their category or similar rave review she gives.

 

She will start to come off like a "SNAKEOILSALESWOMAN" like the comment had states, if she keeps switching up on her fave protein or collagen products as much as switching up clothing. Another commenter had said, "The problem with Kerstin is that she just chases fads and trends that have already come and gone, so she is late to the party with her jumping on the bandwagon, so it just makes her look like a copycat or a phony." 

 

I don't know if that is true or not, but just one instance is the cold plunging that she was years behind on. I hope she scales back promoting for so many companies, cuz it seems like she is turning off many of her followers who are starting NOT to believe her!
