Anyone catch Ken Pave”s presentation of Toppers last night?

Thoughts?

I caught the last 15 minutes of that show. What I saw looked okay. I already own a real hair topper and it cost me less than Paves' toppers. Thought they were over-priced imho, especially for synthetic hair...it just doesn't look totally natural. I prefer real hair b/c of the way it blends into my own hair. Synthetics tend to separate away from my own hair and it becomes obvious. Synthetics tend to be heavy, heavier than real hair and that can cause problems with the clips pulling on your own hair.

ETA-

For my head of hair, I need a topper that isn't so dense. One time I bought one that had too much hair woven into it and it didn't sit right on my head. Looked too 'wiggy'. Sent that one back. The topper i have now is a loose weave less hair and it looks undetectable when I wear it. It's a 120% density rating. Look up 'wig density' and see how that works.

@SilleeMee @Peggs

Thank you for any information concerning this idea.

I have considered getting some sort of topper style to provide more hair at the front of my head for bangs and a fuller hairline?

Silleemee -

Can you share where you got your topper?

I tried one on at a local wig shop - I said “this is the ugliest thing I’ve ever seen”.

It was just a big poof attached to my head 😂

@Peggs

Yes, I totally understand what you mean about 'poof attached'...lol! Sounds to me like the one tried on was too dense for your head of hair.  You probably need a less dense one.

I found mine on amazon and took a chance with buying one based on the reviews and that the description stated the density. Density matters... a lot!

  After I got it home and tried it on, it still didn't look the way I wanted so I took it to a wig shop and asked them what to do. The wig lady plucked out hairs along the front hair line so it was less dense there, similar but better than my own natural hair line. Then the wig lady placed it on my head and showed me how to style it and incorporate my real hair into the front part. It depends on how much of your natural hair you still have on the front hair line which will govern where you place the topper for it to look natural.

@Peggs

Another good thing about real hair toppers is that you can color them to match your own natural hair color. Synthetics will not take color and what you get is what you're stuck with.

Couldn't agree more.... so disappointed, Ken wanted to show how the piece was hooked on to the model with very thinning hair... he was interrupted several times. Please  QVC ... there are more of us with very thinning hair... let him do his job and show the most difficult model... and stop interfering with the presentation!
