Not to be a downer but this happens to a lot of couples and they don't make money off a book by publicizing it. I have a friend who conceived right after adopting too. It is
such a happy surprise and gift but you write a book about it?

Yes, that IS a downer and totally unnecessary post.
Anyone who wishes to share their story can write a book, post it, blog it, FB it ....etc.
There are dozens and dozens of ways to publish books and memoirs these days.
I highly doubt it has anything to do with making money. If they choose to publish their journey, more power to them. If others (such as your friends) choose NOT to ...more power to them also.
Her book may very well be an encouragement to others.

What a lovely story!! Thank you for the link.Parenting has little to do with biology & everything to do with love & the unselfish desire to be a parent!!
I’m sure her story & her book will inspire & give hope to other childless couples.

I feel the same way, they didn't have to try and make money off the situation. If she's giving the story away then of course I wouldn't feel that way. I would not buy anything she's selling on the Q and would never buy her book.

I DVR'd the segment and I was very disappointed in it. I thought the show could have done so much more with this. I'm guessing this was done to promote her book but they never said much about it and didn't really delve into infertility or adoption at all. It left me wondering why they aired it. Maybe it was just a happy piece to be aired and that's all it was supposed to be?
As an aside, Shawn has credited Kerstin with helping her adopt Jagger. I think Kerstin was instrumental in that adoption.

@Catch71, Her book isn't only about adopting and then finding out they were pregnant. It's about the struggles of infertility, miscarriages, failed adoptions, the toll all that takes on you, your marriage and your faith. There is a lot more that happened then just her adopting, getting pregnant and then adopting Ben. She had an adoption that fell through and other personal things she's shared.
