It doesn’t totally upset me that JT talks about her girls, but if she said that to the camera Friday with a mean look, or it has also been said on air that she will call David honey, even more, because she knows it irritates people, that is pathetic and shows no class. She should be glad her numbers are so high. Grow up.
No one knows anyone’s financial situations, so not everyone may be able to retire at 61 or 64. I feel bad for all the 400 people, not just the two hosts (which were 2 of my favorites).
Complaints wont bring them back, but at least Stacy was able to come back as a vendor rep.

@snipsnapsnur - At the time I mentioned, she had not been diagnosed.

When an employee is being offered a "package," there are discussions and negotiations going on. Accepted or not, Carolyn and Dan would not have been "blindsided", surprised or hit with it the day they left.
I believe they knew what was coming; however, they get much sympathy by leading people to believe the Q was cruel.

I 100% believe they were not made aware in advance. Layoffs are abrupt and you get blindsided. The reason is so that it is planned in advanced by the administration, ready to go, paperwork needing signature only, severance offer made and no time except at times for offer to be accepted to avoid litigation, public defamation, and retaliation. The hosts have contracts they signed previously that probably mentions "if and when" layoffs would occur, how it would go down.

I agree completely.
There were no "negotiations." In my view and assessment.
Management had its list and documents ready in advance and informed all 400 on layoff day. Carolyn and Dan and Lesley and Shannon and Shannon were undoubtedly as surprised and blindsided as their 395 coworkers.
