Julia Cearley speciality should be jewelry

Julia did an Affinity Diamonds show with Michelle Lau and she was so descriptive and knowkedge about the jewelry. She had great chemistry with Michele lau as they worked well together. I loved Julia with Kirk's folly but after Affinity I think they need to give her jewelry shows.

So sorry Johhnysbro, NONE of the remaining QVC hosts are really jewelry specialists anymore.

Both Jane and Rick have a broad smattering of knowledge, but the best jewelry experts were Nancy Hornbeck (GIA certified!!), Antonella Nester (Italian gold), and Lisa Robertson (gold and more). All three are GONE now!!

Unfortunately QVC has allowed jewelry to become a lower level priority, and the new hosts really have no expertise in anything but talking.  Thank goodness Michele Lau was hired and she received her GIA certification--previous to that she sold jewelry only on several different shopping channels for decades! Michele knows excellent diamonds--but most of the diamonds QVC sells are just at the good quality.

Yes, I am a very wise jewelry shopper, and I pay no attention to any of the hosts because many of them do not even know the correct names of gemstones, nor how to judge quality.

Julia is very cheerful and has a nice personailty, but she is no better than any of the other hosts with jewelry knowledge.

I do not even trust Peyton Kelley, because although he is smart about gemstones, he always allowed the rings to be lightweight in gold, and used low quality single cut diamonds as part of the setting.  Jeff seems okay so far, and I am happy he is certified now.

The biggest problem with QVC jewelry is there is not always brand consistency in quality.  I have purchased some of the Judith Ripka high end gold pieces, but the jewelry is expensive for its value.

I like to watch ShopHQ as well--and now I see that more of their diamonds are at the G/H and SI categories. They also carry recognized international brands like Effy, Tagliamonte, Stefano Oro, etc.

Buying expensive jewelry requires a fair bit of knowledge so your money is not wasted!!

These posts are as boring as the repetitive items being pushed this last month.  Ho-Hum.

She is a salesman.  She has to sell whatever they give her to sell.

This is good. Nice to see your personality come thru instead of taking QVC  over seriously all the time.
