What is the difference between Joan Rivers not apologizing for her "jokes" about the poor girls that were held against their will in Cleveland and what Paula Deen had done in the past. Paula Deen is no longer with the Q. Why is Joan Rivers? Just Wondering.

Sorry. I only heard about one in this post. This forum makes a person feel so welcome. All warm and fuzzy.

Seriously!
Nothing against warm and fuzzy but this has to be the fifth or sixth thread about Joan's latest and they've all gone on ad nauseum and ultimately been poofed.

I have no use for either of them, OP, so I guess I don't care whether they're here or not.

For those who do not understand the difference between a comedian making a humorous comment about a news-related topic (albeit crass and in questionable taste) and someone using a hurtful, hateful racial epithet and wanting a ante-bellum-type wedding reception that stereotypes and reinforces prejudices against an entire race of people, I cannot explain it. One is an issue of taste; the other is an issue of hatred.
Ultimately, though, whether one is capable of understanding it or now, the issue is simple. Paula is gone from QVC. She is not coming back. It is time to move on and get on with our lives -- just like she is doing.

Well, technically, they're "taking a break"...

Here's a suggestion: If you see a topic you've alredy read/replied to: Move on! Don't be rude because we're not all on here 24/7!

I'm with you on this, even though we're apparently the minority (I didn't realize being a comedian meant you could be rude and distrespectful).

I used to love Joan Rivers. She needs to be pulled from the Q. Her recent comments about the girls in Cleveland were the last straw. She has gone too far! JR ha always been on the "edge" so to speak. It seems like she has no moral character, a line she wont cross.
