This July, Suwanee Mayor Jimmy Burnette’s wife Caron hosted a bridal shower for her former Suwanee Elementary Kindergarten student Courtney Cason. Cason is a popular host on QVC, the world’s leading video and e-commerce retailer.

QVC is running an interactive digital series called “Save the Date- Courtney Says I Do.” The series kicked off on July 28th on QVC.com and the QVC iPad app and runs for eight weeks, with one of the shows covering the shower at the Burnette’s home. QVC has had on-air bridal showers for the hosts before. I recall showers for Jill Bauer and Leah Williams back in the day. Those were done well too with nice products and guest appearances by other hosts and vendors.  I recall Courtney Cason's but someone must help me as to whether or not Shawn Kilinger had one.  

I did not get to see all of Jen's, but what I did see was well done. 

Jen and her husband are a handsome couple and appear to be very much in love. I wish them all the best.

I've never had the joy of finding that special someone, so if I was lucky enough now to have someone who loved me I'd be shouting it from the rooftops. I would never begrudge someone their happiness.

As to the posts that talk about her being all about herself -- she is the bride!!

@Qvcmeow. Yes, she is the bride and deserves all the attention and fussing over from her family and friends. The QVC audience is neither. I still think it wrong for QVC to exploit their relationship and make a show around a bridal shower just to sell their same old stuff. But whatever. It is over. I put on QVC this evening not knowing what the show was. Heard Mally’s loud voice. Could not get to my remote fast enough. So not interested in those You are over 50 shows.

I don’t think posters wish anything but happiness for Jen & her new husband. It’s just tacky re the shower & I wouldn’t commercialize my wedding or new relationship. But, the couple agreed to it & aren’t forced into the event.

The people that attended received many nice gifts. Just the Harry Slatkin candles alone were worth the price of admission.

@Qvcmeow  I haven't found a special someone either- I've had some boyfrends, but I haven't found a husband yet.  I turned the Bridal Special off after realizing that watching her happiness was nice, but it made me feel a little sad since I'm yet to find a husband.  I'll put myself back out there on the dating apps next year after taking some time off from dating.  ! I liked the pretty decorations, the items presented until I turned the tv off and the genuine excitement surrounding the show. Jen looked beautiful in her hair and makeup and her pretty ivory colored dress . I want those Harry Slatkin lemoncello cupcake candles!
