@San Antonio Gal 100% agreed! Also, to hire 14 employees right off the bat with not knowing how popular her new studio is going to be seems like a BIG risk to me. I really thought with Jen retiring from Q that she would be teaching majority of the classes.
It seems like a nice studio with some space, but 14 employees would make me think its almost the size of a gym, but its not even close to that big. She could get by with 1/2 the # of employees, IMHO. Oh well. goodluck to her and hope it all works out.

@QVCTVSpree I agree, it does seem like quite a lot.
Perhaps it's like QVC: They have a large number of hosts, but they work in short-hour shifts, and not every day.
It may be that each of Jennifer's yoga teachers work no more than 2 or 3 hours a week, or something similar.

Maybe she hired instructors as consultants. They may get paid directly by the clients & pay her a fee to use her space. When I worked in the corporate world, outside instructors used our gym for yoga, dance etc & were paid directly by the participants. The company didn’t charge for use of the space but being a private business, she might have an arrangement. Employing 14 people without knowing the success of the business would be a big overhead & not a good business decision, imho.
@Stray That sounds more like it like it. There are many hair salon businesses set up exactly like that.

Not interested in listening to her podcast at all. I have my own resources of infomation who I trust. To me its a waste of time. I can manifest on my own; been doing it my whole life.

@Caaareful Shopper - true it was like that in NJ but now it's illegal. They have a sign up in my nail salon saying chair rental is illegal, I guess for people who come in & ask if they can rent a space.

@Stray I thought it was only illegal if the stylist does not have a specific chair or booth rental license. So many people who "do hair" tried to rent a booth to make money. So authorities cracked down and make that illegal. But if they have a chair rental license it's still OK.

Renting out space to 14 different yoga instructors sounds like a nightmare @Caaareful Shopper . I read this is not a huge studio. Can you imagine trying to coordinate the different time slots for 14 different instructors?
