I noticed her new ring and laughed at her comment about keeping the husband but changing the ring. I know several people who have "upgraded" their wedding set.
I got a new setting on my tenth anniversary because the diamond kept getting loose in the original setting. My husband was hesitant because of the idea of the original ring being blessed during the wedding ceremony. Now, 30+ years after that hesitancy he asked if I wanted a bigger diamond! I have no interest in doing that, but loved that he thought to suggest it.

Years ago my mom handed me a bunch of wedding rings. They were from deceased girlfriends, relatives, etc. She said "You might need these some day. Most women have multiple wedding rings because their hands change as they grow older. Hold onto these. They'll save you some money when you grow older."

My Mom inherited many engagement and wedding bands. Her original engagement ring wore down and cracked. It was platinum. She was an excellent cook, housekeeper and seamstress so I guess she wore it out over 20 years. I remember she had a new ring made and several of my girlfriends wanted what she had! My daughter now has the ring and it sits in a safe. I do remember how as we got older our ring size changed. I am now wearing one of those old bands due to my fingers getting smaller!

Hi! @rms1954 🤗
It was on her ring finger on her left hand. Maybe you can see it in the item videos for todays shows. I saw it live on air.
Her hands keep moving too fast.

Put me on the list of those who won't watch her.

@San Antonio Gal wrote:@Tinkrbl44 - I thought you were asking a sincere question too. I didn't know changing one's ring many times throughout the years was a thing either.
@San Antonio Gal I never heard of it either and I have met many Women in my line of work
@Tinkrbl44 Your question was sincere. I would never change my wedding rings.
@San Antonio Gal Some will do anyhing for attention. If you know what I mean?

I do not wear my original wedding ring. It was in yellow gold which I cannot wear. I bought a simple white gold band to wear. Hubby eventually bought me another band that I wear in white gold. The original ring sat in my jewerly box for 30 year, I had the diamond put in another band that I wear with the othe band hubby bought me.

As for Jane, well, if I can't say anything nice, I am not supposed to say anything (per some of you). So I guess I will not comment on her.
Pretty sure you just did, in a very backhanded way.
i know many women who have had their rings reset for many reasons.
i picked out my diamond & shape. we let the jeweler play around with the setting till we/I saw what appealed to me. the jeweler also styled my band. i still love them both, but the diamond needs to be reset which i am working on now.
i see no problem resetting or 'upgrading' your ring. if that's important to you, then go for it.
i personally would always keep my original diamond and just reset it. the memory of that day, the 2 of us, shopping for ring, is just priceless to me.
my DH would have no problem with my decision.
i married the man, not the ring - great quote!!

😂 Very true!!! @FancyPhillyshop
And Jane’s motto “Keep the Man, Change the ring”
Courtney Khondabi changed hers from a single solitaire into a Halo setting.
Shawn said she changed hers too, but I don’t know what it looked like years ago.
@RescueLover I like the ring Shawn wears, stunning!
