She needs to file her nails,

Really?

@happypgolfcartrider Yes, really.

They did a close up of her thumbs a couple of times as she wanted to show how Mally's primer smooths out lines so your makeup goes on better so she chose to put it on one thumb and then show the comparison between them, and yes, her nails were raggedy, at least the thumbs were, didn't see the rest. Had she known ahead of time she'd be doing that kind of demo of the primer, (it seemed to be something she just chose to do at that moment) or doing a jewelry show she probably would have made sure they were in better shape. I have to say it was an effective demo though, the creases in one thumb smoothed out nicely!

I noticed the thumb nails myself but I did not think they were ragged. They were different lengths but they were clean. Maybe her vitamin deficiency messed up her nails and she is trying to grow them back.

I agree with you they were clean and they were different lengths, on my large screen hi-def tv, the shorter one, looked somewhat ragged on the tip. Maybe ragged isn't the right word, it wasn't smoothed, maybe jagged is a better word than ragged. I remember thinking on the first close up that if she was looking at her thumbs in the monitor she'd be wishing she hadn't done that. But then she showed them a second time how the primer was continuing to smooth the creases out, and I noticed it again. It's not an earth shattering matter for sure, I'm just saying how it looked to me and how it surprised me she showed it a second time if she saw it on the monitor the first time. Frankly I don't care about her nails, I'm just happy to see her sweet self back again and looking healthy.

@shaggygirl it was not a big deal at all.  I just mentioned it because I noticed it right away when she showed her thumbs.  I've noticed this about her before.  It looks like she cuts her nails but does not file them.  My opinion -- it's sloppy looking esp if you're on TV and they do closeup of your hands.

You're right, it really is not a big deal unless someone makes it a big deal.

I have to say that this is the first time I have ever seen a show host not have their nails at least painted.   Sorry but that dress was ugly.  I think she is a beautiful girl as others have said , and I think she is a great host. That said she needs to come on air a little bit more presentable.  JMO

I just watched Jacque with Bob Mackie. Didn't recognize her at all. Can't believe she wore distressed jeans with all his beautiful,classy clothes.

Oh, I agree. Very disrespectful for Jacque to wear those jeans. Bob Mackie deserves better.

I agree with both of you.  I was looking at the high heels with the torn jeans.   I didn't get it.   I think she is a great host and a beautiful girl, but the clothes are nt appropriate.

I don't have a problem with the distressed jean look, but feel Jacque could have worn Bob's pants for his shows.  She can wear the jeans for other shows. It just seemed tacky and not well thought out.

The tattered jeans with that exquisite evening jacket was a fashion triumph.  Whether we like it or not, distressed jeans are all the rage with young women.  The contrast was intentional and accomplished exactly what the pairing was supposed to-  You noticed, the image was impressed upon your memory.  Now someone who would otherwise have no place for formal wear will purchase that very jacket in gold and silver to do just what Jacque did.

If I were to lodge a complaint against Jacque it wouldn't be about her attire.

@CoG I agree with your fashion critique. This is part of the modern approach to fashion and Bob Mackie seemed to have no problem with it. He is outspoken enough that it would have been apparent if he was unhappy. In his show this morning he certainly did not hold back on his views of underwear showing and sloppy airline travel outfits. He has not been shy in the past about chastising a host.

Off topic - Someone reads these comments on the forum because Jacque said yesterday that contrary to what some viewers think, she and Bob were great friends and loved working together. Bob added he felt that way too.

I haven't seen her on air in awhile; I think she's lovely and she's one of my favorites.

I saw her with Bob Mackie yesterday and something was off with her but I don't know what. It wasn't how they interacted but.... something was off. Noticed the same thing when she was on with Issac.... do a great job, she looked wonderful, they worked well but something was off. Almost like she was...medicated? I don't know. I do hope she is well as she was gone for a long time.
