JUST VENTING - Porbably Too Boring To Read!

Re:  My Return Saga........Woman Frustrated

Since this "lockdown" went into effect, I've been ordering this season's wants/needs from the Q.  Been waiting - still waiting - for some, but just received the majority.

I must have a strange body, guess I really do, 'cause lately I've had no luck with the tees I've ordered to replace - one of those in with the new/out with the very old things..  (Quite a few I must add.)  Anyways, decided yesterday, though it's well within the ninety-day return period and after receiving the last of the tees (only the skinny tees are somewhere out there...somewhere,,,)  I'd process my returns.

So put them into a package (box - feel more secure with that).  Also put the led lights which were defective into another; thus keeping fashion and whatever separate.  Thought I was doing a veyr good job.  So, here goes:

Tried the 'Schedule A Return' online.  I was unable to get into it.  I am not IT adept and need to set up my new laptop but when the stay at home went into effect, I was unable to get the assistance I required.  Anyways when that didn't work and after realizing the Q's Customer Service people aren't answering the phones, I emailed the Social Team for help.  I had to look up the order nos. on the returns and get back to them.  Replied with that info last nite.  This morning I received an email back stating I must call Customer Service for the return to be procesed.  Though I knew C/S wouldn't answer, I tried - in vain - anyways.

When that didn't work I called the local P.O.  They normally don't answer the phone but today someone did!  So, I requested a pick-up.  Eureka! -- NOT.  He told me to leave the two packages next to the mailbox with the flag up.  Said I didn't really want to leave anything valuable streetside (been told my driveway is 250' long and uphill so d/n feel comfortable with that.  But, that's how they do it now, I was told.

Frustrated but determined, I went back to the Q's 'Schedule A Return":  I managed to get through this time - perhaps less online traffic early in the day!  Anyways, it worked!

Guess I'm also not the brightest bulb on the circuit 'cause didn't know which type of mail to check - I used 1st Class.  I also wasn't sure for items it they wanted the number of items in the package or the number of packages.  After a pause, I soon realized this is the post office, they want the number of boxes.  Then, they want an estimate of the total weight!!!!  OMG, I thought!  I had no idea!  So, they got a very rough estimate.  My pick-up is scheduled for tomorrow.  We'll see......

If you read this, I thank you.  And, I feel better now that I vented.  (Been on "lockdown" much too long.)

@eddyandme

So sorry for your ordeal!

I'm shocked that the Social Team email said that you still had to call CS!

The Social Team has always been our last line of defense in solving order issues, are we losing their expertise too?

Not to mention all of the many posts from customers that can't even get through to CS by phone!

This is really disappointing..........

@eddyandme Not that it helps you in the least, but you just made me so happy.

As I read about all the issues with orders here, there, and everywhere, I'm just so pleased I think I can make it through a few more months without having to face any ordering decisions.

Saved enough over the last few weeks to pay the plumber who just left.  Not hearing the flush as I lie in bed now will add to my happiness!   Sad what has to pass for okay right now.

Glad I brightened your day, @millieshops !

OT:  just so you know, last year my toilet kept running nonstop as time went on - this had only begun after my (now former) plumber made a repair.

It's now fixed but I had to replace the toilet.  So, if you get constant running, it's 'cause the seal ring they put the toile on is broke/cracked - they have to get it on just right or you'll have this problem.

@eddyandme     You went to a lot of trouble that could have been avoided.  All you have to do is go to the USPS website and request a pick up as long as you use the Q label.  It's part of the service for which you pay when you use the label.  They will pick it up at your front door or any place and time you wish.  It doesn't matter how long your driveway is.  I use it frequently.

@eddyandme

Dont mess with QVC's schedule a return. USE QVC's return lable and just go to USPS.com, at the top left side of the screenh click MAIL & SHIP, then click SCHEDULE A PICKUP, complete the form and then click CHECK AVAILABILITY , if theres a checkmark USPS will pick up for free during their regular business hours.   Check whether you have a dog or not.

Then select where you will leave the package---there are many options to chose from.

Then select pickup regular mail delivery

Choose the day for pickup

Where it shows returns indicate the number of returns (enter a preceeding zero, so for three packages for example where it shows RETURNS enter 03)

click the box for the "agreement" and you are all set you will get an email confirmation.....

Re: JUST VENTING - Porbably Too Boring To Read!

@eddyandmeFingers crossed here..  I really wanted to do a bathroom remodel -  had hoped to start relatively soon until this mess began.  The plumber was pretty confident I should be okay with just the repair for now, but he did give me the option to upgrade to new but at several times the charge to repair.

Because I don't plan on the same style and color necessarily in the new room, I opted to do what I hope is the cheaper temporary fix.

Thank you, @Kachina624 .  Thought I'd have to call P.O.  I'll remember your advice from now on!
