I’m glad it no longer states 1 hr for many reasons. 🤗

Well; i had something in my cart for less than 3 minutes; I went back to the item info to check on measurements and there was a message that this item has been removed from your cart and message saying Items in cart not held or something to that nature, and my item was sold out.  That is a crazy policy as my item was in my cart less than 5 minutes.  Guess next time I will check out then immediately cancel if I need to.

I''ve had that happen to me several times even when items were supposedly held in my cart for an hour.

Which is why I never believed they were actually held even if you had them in your cart.

Another thought on this:  If QVC is going to push us to purchase without seeing presented on-air, sure would be nice if their color pictures on-line were accurate.  That is one reason to have something either on wish list on in cart for upcoming show waiting to see what the actual color looks like - often it is nothing like the printed description!

That's OKAY if it's 1 item, but if it's more than 1, by the time you get back to your order, the first one has been removed.  That's not OKAY.

And boy is that true.  I placed a lamp of Valerie's in my cart this morning before I went to eat breakfast; they showed the lamp as I was eating and before I could get back to my phone to check out the color I wanted sold out.  I immediately went to check out what was in my cart and it did not process - said it was sold out.  I called customer service and asked them to send message to the appropriate folks that this is not a good change.  I have been shopping with QVC for over 30 years and cannot believe I did not even have 5 minutes to check out.  They must be incredibly desparate is all I can say.  And never heard this mentioned on air either.

I think its a great change. I dont sit on orders. If i want it and its available, i buy it. I hate thinking its sold out when it truly isnt because someone lets it sit in their cart

Perhaps some of our favorite vendors, i.e. Valerie, should dump selling on QVC and only sell on HSN now that they will soon be nearby in West Chester!!!  And Kim Gravel and all our others...Do not like the direction QVC

Call center locations and Inventory shipping has zero to do with the studios being in the same facilities. That is not how tv shopping channels  work.  They are not "out back packing your orfers".

Fortunately, I buy very little from QVC.  I have items in my Target and Walmart carts that are still there days after I added them.  I  would not want to be under "pressure" to buy something immediately.

Consistantly stocked items is not the same as special-buy procurred items. Big box stores are not the same as TV Shopping channels so they cannof be compared.

This is nothing new in retail.

I've placed items in my cart at Land's End and when going to checkout they've been gone. Same with Sephora. Same with Bath & Body Works...and I'm sure a few others. It happens.

Yes, it's frustrating when you're trying to put a few outfits together with coordinating pieces. But in this financial climate I would never fault a retailer for concluding a for certain sale, over a delayed might be.

Re: Items In Your Cart Are NOT On Hold 😉

I'm fairly certain the hosts stopped talking about items being held in your cart about two years ago; I know I've heard them really pushing the "check out now" philosophy a lot more often in the past few months, especially during seasonal shows and special events such as jewelry days. Echoing in my head, I hear Jane Treacy's voice saying, "If you really want this special piece, don't leave it in your cart or someone else is going to bring it home."

I put an item in my cart a few hours ago. Guess no one wanted it because it's now in my Saved items.

Re: Items In Your Cart Are NOT On Hold 😉

I noticed this change a few days ago....I think it will keep me from purchasing to much going forward as I need to usually see it presented and be able to read the garment measurements to be sure I am ordering correct size.  Also I like to look at reviews in case someone my size talks about the fit and so on.

What I find odd is the item will be showing in your cart with no sign telling you it already sold out UNTIL you try to place your order.  And I see some items in my saved area below that appear to be in stock but again if I try to order them I am told they are sold out LOL!  You would think when it goes in that saved area it would show the status of the item but I have some that do and some that don't.

I understand Q's reasoning for this as many put things in there cart and never check out causing a "true" buyer to miss out say on the one time only price and so on.  Happens to me often so now I won't be bothering with crazy rush check out.
