Will the jobs be shifted to India?  Seems like 800 is a lot of jobs to eliminate all at once.  What were the people doing before - twiddling their thumbs?

If QVC moves a call center to India, I am done shopping with QVC.  I have to talk to too many people as it is (for work) who live in India -- the credit departments for major book publishers.  I know that is the trend, but it still makes me mad.

In all the years I've shopped here, I think I've placed orders by phone maybe three times total.  Otherwise I order online...  When I call CS it's usually to get help with a question or to resolve an issue, not to place an order.  I do so hope this latest change doesn't mean QVC will become one of those places you call for help and find yourself on hold for far too long...

Re: Is qvc closing some customer service sites?

I just now saw an article in a local paper, saying that QVC is opening their first distribution center in the region...Ontario, CA. A million square feet and eventually about 1500 employees.

This would dramatically seed up deliveries.
