Is it all of Qurate or just QVC that is the problem?

I never paid much attention to Qurate until my stock guy wouldn't let me buy stock.  So I refreshed my memory with Zulily, Grandin Road, and the others.  Just where is the drag?  I buy occasionally from HSN and the shipping has been fast, two service reps have been OUTSTANDING.  I don't know about return processing with HSN, I just know QVC is still in the dumps.

Virtually all of the Qurate operating losses are attributable to QXH US and to a lesser degree Zulily.

QXH International and CBI actually posted operating profits in 2022.

Results under QXH US are not broken down by HSN/QVC.

Hi @They Call Me MR Wilkes  In one of the threads, I posted the large amount of debt that Qurate is carrying and will come due.

The current CEO is certainly not helping.

The Q brought HSN who was having problems and this was a big issue i thought was bad. HSN is the oldest of the two but the Q was the one that was profitable. I felt that they should not had accuquired all of these companies that had bad profit margin so now everything is up to the Q and their reputation is damaged because of it.

Qvc didn't buy HSN.   Qvc doesn't own HSN or vice versa and Qvc hasn't acquired any companies.  Both belong to the same parent corporation Qurate.  Along with several other companies.  None of us know anything about profit margins since we are not privy to the internal financial documents of any of them.  We only know that like many retailers in not just the US but the world, profits are below forecast and grown is stalled.  There's trouble in River City.

You have got to be kidding.

We know everything about Qurate's profit margins, as well as those of QVC/HSN.

It's a publicly traded corporation required to disclose those results.

@depglass

Thank your stockbroker! You do not want to buy QVC now and you probably haven't wanted to purchase it for the past 10-12 years (or longer)! He/she saved you a lot of money and heartache.

It's been a mess since all of the wonderful companies and real designers left and the Q decided Denim & Co., Susan Graver, Isaac, etc., could meet customers needs! Didn't work. QVC hasn't scouted for great companies and/or

designers in all this time to replace those wonderful talents who left when the Profits & Losses began to show signs of trouble so many years ago.

Money screams; wealth whispers.
