Does anyone else find this event disingenuous? I sense it's the same products as usual. Why not invite women entrepreneurs on ? Do we need to see Josies argan oil ad nauseum? Also why is Tova Borgnine regular snubbed? I've long believed all women should get 20 percent off on this day. Just don't understand why this day doesn't get the treatment it deserves?

Re: International Women's Day

Why should it be special?  Why do women or men need a special day?

It's 2021, not 1850 or even 1960, when women still didn't have the same rights as men.

QVC's TV programming for clothing is mostly for women.  Most of the hosts and clothing vendors are women.  Maybe, men should complain.  "Where's clothing for us?"  "Oh, you can find a few pieces online."

And now, women want special programming for "Women's Day."  They already have special programming just for them every day.  Sometimes it's on clearance or on sale, and occasionally free shipping.

@Reever.  It could be worse.  Remember the year they had a girdle (okay shaper) as the TSV on Women's Day?  There was a lot said about that.

Re: International Women's Day

@Foxxee there is an International Men’s Day. It’s November 19th.

We were just talking about both of them at work today.

@Reever   Tova may not want to be on QVC that often.  She's 79 years old and certainly doesn't need the money.

@NickNack Have to disagree..........Tova would run from CA to PA to get a camera.  She sees what she wants to see...........

Gives her great JOY to be center stage............

It is an international recognition.  There are many many places in the world where women don't have the same rights as men.

Re: International Women's Day

International Women's Day is a global holiday celebrated annually on March 8 to commemorate the cultural, political, and socioeconomic achievements of women. It is also a focal point in the women's rights movement, bringing attention to issues such as gender equality, reproductive rights, and violence against women

Collective action and shared ownership for driving gender parity is what makes International Women's Day impactful. Gloria Steinem, world-renowned feminist, journalist and activist once explained  "The story of women's struggle for equality belongs to no single feminist nor to any one organization but to the collective efforts of all who care about human rights." So make International Women's Day your day and do what you can to truly make a positive difference for women.

IWD has occurred for well over a century, with the first IWD gathering in 1911 supported by over a million people. Today, IWD belongs to all groups collectively everywhere. IWD is not country, group or organization specific.

Re: International Women's Day

DISMAL.  QVC's Programming for this day has been "same old," same old."  Nothing special.  Next year, the people in charge need to refresh.
