Will the Q have any specials that day. In years past they have waived taxes on products offered.

@Group 5 minus 1 -- All retailers are legally required to charge and collect any applicable  taxes for your state. I imagine QVC could get in hot water if they waived taxes that they are supposed to be collecting and passing along to the States.

sales taxes aren't optional

 someone is paying those and it's the buyer, not the seller.lol!

 

let's see ... they recently had a free shipping day ...

and a flash ezpay on everything today

Some retailers will discount the amount equal to the sales tax as a promotion but @DeniseColo is correct.

 

Retailers must pay sales tax on the sale. Unless your county or state is offering a free sales tax day, it must be paid by someone. If the consumer is getting the tax amount discounted off, the retailer by law, must still report the amount and pay tax on it.

 

I have been with Q since CVN and I don't ever remember any such offer.
