Re: In the kitchen w diet…

I would not taste food for anybody. If David cannot do it anymore then they should turn the show over to someone else. When his cookbooks came out he made it sound like they were the best things since sliced bread. Bet he never mentions or talks about them now. Horrible to make someone else eat food and gain weight.

I see David taste the food quite often, along with others on the set.

All of the others have always been eating.  David has only recently been tasting more on air.  I don't care if he ever tastes food on air ever again.  It doesn't sway me to buy or not.  But his "King's Taste Tester" vibe the past few months has not escaped social media.

Steve Doss posts on social media his before-show exercise work-out every Wednesday.  He says it's to counter the calories of the ITKWD show.

Every other food host tastes the food in their shows, so they must also know how to work it off.  No one else has a taste tester for them.

Perhaps David is not able to use moderation with the right exercise for balance.

Every one handles weight loss and weight management differently, to the best of their capabilities.

I've noticed he is at least tasting some items but I just don't like how Steve is his taster? I guess he knew what he was getting into but it seems so strange that DV is drooling over his shoulder at times

I buy plenty of food without someone tasting it. Beside the fact, a person would have to be pretty dumb to think if he tasted it he would ever say "yuck." I don't understand why anyone actually needs to taste the food QVC sells.

@Trinity11 I agree with you but if you check out his facebook chat during his shows there is a number of his fans that do look for his eating/his facial expressions/his shows of appreciation/giddiness/the happy dance & just my observation, but then they do order whatever food product was shown.

Tasting is one thing.......eating like they're starving.......(Alberti and Rachel) is another. Can't watch them.

Re: In the kitchen w diet…

When David calls "Big Bite" to taste his food, he gives Steve "instructions": try it with the cracker, put some of this on it, try the chocolate and vanilla together.

It's bad enouhg to call his taster but worse with instructions. And Steve looks very hungry with his instructions, like that's how he would like to eat it.

Steve better figure out something else in place of tasters.

Re: In the kitchen w diet…

There was/is a large part of his audience that tuned in to watch him gorge himself, make stupid faces and dance around like an idiot.  They liked watching his antics because it gave them permission to over eat.  I don't think his show will ever be as popular if he isn't going to eat food and dance about it.

If I was Steve, I would tell David to shove it!
